Sinclair Park Community Centre

Would NOT recommend booking here. Had my social here recently and was blindsided by so many “rules” not stated in the contract nor mentioned prior to booking. Honestly, felt tricked into booking due to their false advertisement.Was also NOT notified of the new LGCA legal alcohol percentage being lowered therefore triggering a new “3 shot rule” at Sinclair until it was brought to our attention when we attended another social at Sinclair (before our own). We reached out to the coordinator about this and said she claimed to have emailed us but was not able to forward her original email she “sent” us. This was 2 months before our social. We all know alcohol plays a huge part in socials, yet no phone call was made to ensure we were made aware of this huge change.The biggest curve ball was that they told us the DAY OF our Social that our shots bar could not open until 10:30pm. When we questioned why it could not open until 10:30pm, they told us it was on our contract. However, when we finally read our contract the next day— it was in fact, NOT written anywhere on there. Our mistake for not having our contract on hand that night but it definitely screwed us over with the shots bar opening so late into the night.This place tries to really control what you do. While we can understand Sinclair wanting to keep things under control— they DO NOT disclose any of these major “rules” until the day of your social. This is extremely false advertisement. Had we known all these rules, we would not have booked here.I feel they have been getting away with this because by the time when all is revealed ON THE DAY OF YOUR SOCIAL— you literally have no time and energy to deal with them.Here’s our warning: DO NOT BOOK HERE!!

Nice clean open space for a hall, went there for a birthday party. It was very spacious, bright and clean.

A great location. Ample parking and right next to a play park and swings.Multiple sized rooms and gymnasium too for various functions. Very new and modern.Highly recommended.

Fireworks were good but could be longer and more big bangs

DO NOT RECOMMEND! Staff is very rude, and extremely heavy handed with cutting people off from drinking! They stated we were out of vodka when we had a whole case that was returned to the LC. A response I received by email when addressing my concerns started with “Absolutely not. No need for discussion.” Staff does not have great communication and added A LOT of additional stress on the day of our social. Security was unprofessional as well.Nothing good to say besides a clean and spacious facility.

Great celebration for Canada Day. Lots of activities for the kids, plenty of space for the adults to get comfortable, watch the live band, enjoy their hot dogs and drinks. The fireworks show by archangel was fantastic, nearly 20 minutes long!

Went there for a social . Huge place but get there early so you can get good parking
