Char's Railway Cafe
Drove from Island Lake tonight to try Char’s for the first time. I had the prime rib special. It included potato soup, prime rib, carrots, mashed potatoes with gravy, coleslaw, and bread pudding. It was hot & tasty. Good service, nice atmosphere and clean. We’ll be back for sure !

Char's Railway Cafe
I've eaten there 4 times now. Every time I was very satisfied with my food. Portion sizes are generous, prices are reasonable and the food always tastes great. The staff is very friendly as well. It's 15km off highway 2, but well worth the detour if you're driving by. Or definitely stop in on your way to or from Fawcett Lake. It's a must!

Simple and cozy restaurant. Staff are sweet and super friendly. Standard fare - burgers, sandwiches, salads, soups and a few other main options. Worth a visit if you're passing through or in the Slave Lake area.

Char and her staff are incredibly nice people who are great to talk to and share a laugh with. Building is really homely small town cafe life and loads of character. Good food and coffee, had the lunch staff.

Saturday night is steak night and wow what a steak. Done to perfection with the potatoe of your choice, two vegetables and the soup was phenomenal. The size of the servings were more than enough for anyone and the price was decent. Would definitely recommend this cafe, you be sorry you went. Last but not least the service couldn't have been any better.

Well worth your stop! Very good; wholesome, home cooked meals! Great value for your dollar here. You won’t be going away hungry and the staff are so nice and friendly. Very good atmosphere and variety! You must stop in and say hi!

Awesome, awesome!! More food than you can eat. Hamburger was homemade and big. Plate was huge and tons of fries. Waitress was very good.
