The food tasted great and the portions are filling. We got the chicken katsudon, curry chicken, California roll, and korokke. I wasn't a big fan of the korokke but the curry was great. The staff were also very nice and the atmosphere was great. It was very homey and I enjoyed my time there

Tastes good but consistently stingy with the meat. $16 gets you literally a few pieces popcorn chicken (plus one slightly bigger popcorn chicken). This is not a meal.

Came in here after a friend suggested to try shrimp cream croquette .. could have known the taste better if it had not been burning hot… ps. Have patience before taking your first bite, patient and ever smiling servers, quite ambience.. good place for a restart if you are feeling low! :)

What a delicious place!Sushi, soups, bentons, salads - so good!My „must eat“ there is a seaweed salad with sesame sauce. Bowls are extremely good too.

This mom and pop Japanese restaurant is to die for. Very good curry, and Bento boxes at a reasonable price. I loved everything in the Bento, and I'm not usually a sashimi person!

Came for a weeknight dinner with a friend just before 6pm. The restaurant is quite small (although they do have patio seating once the weather warms up enough) and filled up quickly, so I'd recommend making a reservation if you can.I ordered the pork katsu curry. Pork katsu was cooked well, very fresh and not dry at all. The curry was rich and came with chunks of beef. Rice was on the sticky side though. But overall, tasty and very good quality/quantity for the price.Service is friendly although it was a bit difficult to get their attention at times. Would be helpful if they updated the menu on their website, as some items are no longer available.

Food was very underwhelming. Tried the takoyaki and the batter was stiff and chewy. They also need to be more generous with the mayo. Their karaage chicken was the first bad one i’ve had at a japanese restaurant. It was dry and lacked salt.

You need to make a reservation before coming!! We did not know this and came to Tokyo Kitchen on a Friday night as a party of 3. We made a reservation on the spot, but it took them about 20 minutes to seat us. Once we sat down, it felt like everything went really fast. We were served our meals and the side we ordered in a matter of minutes. We got a side of tempura, one sashimi don, one chicken katsu, and one beef sukiyako udon. The food was delicious, and even the atmosphere was really nice. The only thing is this place is really busy so make a reservation.

A very warm restaurant serving Japanese don/noodle and bento. I really love the shrimp tempura there, tasted good with curry rice! The staff was very welcoming. But I do hope the restaurant can change the takeout containers to some more eco-friendly materials. The styrofoam box is not the best choice♻️

You don't need to spend $100+ at a high-end Japanese restaurant to get an authentic Japanese dining experience in Toronto. Tokyo Kitchen serves fantastic Japanese comfort food with great portions and kind service, all in a cozy atmosphere. The Japanese curry rice here was pure delight. The bri fry was perfect, and the dinner bento box had huge portions given the price with very fresh sashimi. And I keep ordering the korokke - loved it! Continuously impressed by Tokyo Kitchen and will definitely come back again.
