Lovely Eastern European shop owned by a kind family. They have a variety of items from pickled vegetables to cured fish to sweets, newspapers, teas & herbs. We stop here every time we hit the mainland.

Lovely store and staff! Filled with delights in every corner! My husband who is from the Ukraine loves stocking up on fish, dumplings and chocolates! He is always finding his childhood favourites and is so happy!

I love their incredible offering of Russian chocolate. Small, individually wrapped chocolates of varying flavours and shapes. Buy them by weight. I pile them into one of those fancy gift bags (a dollar at the dollar store) which makes a great and unique gift.

My favourite Eastern European food store in Vancouver. Good selection of foods and souvenirs, everything is always fresh, and the owners are wonderful people. I do wish they had a larger selection of dried fish, but no other complaints.

I really enjoy my experience at this store. Many interesting products from former USSR republics. Good selection of unique dairy products( which I love). Very polite people. The store is under new ownership. My previous experience from 6 years ago was terrible.

The lady who served us was very pleasant and nice. The lady who was a customer but stopping in to have a chat made the experience wonderful. She grows her own cucumbers and was delighted to hear people are starting to grow and can things again. Old world charm, great selection of European comfort foods, pickled goods, and cheeses.

The honey cake tastes soooo good! I thought it might be too sweet for me. Not at all, just the right sweetness with balanced caramel flavor and cream cheese sourness. I love it!

What do you know about Georgian food, Russian perogies? Anyway.. I have good news.1) new owners 2) They are polite! 3) they still carry handmade locally sourced perogies!! I know that the previous owner the woman who worked there shared her recipe of or these perogies. And they started this company with her help. Anyway, if you are looking for a fast dinner, with meat or veggies or dessert version of perogies/pelmeni.. this is the place. Authentic as it can get. Okay enough about the perogies. There are so many yummy basics in here, deli, dried fish, caviar! ( Eat decandently), tea, cookies, pickled everything that can be pickled. . Jams, .. and chocolates by the pound. Anyway, this place is something to explore. Shop local, yah things are imported here -. But this place is a small interesting place to poke around while you wait for you lunch to be made next door! ( SAL Y Lemon, Brooklyn pizza Or Ballet Bahn Mi! Or while you are doing laundry)

Very friendly owners and the food is always fresh.They even have some Russian cakes there like Napoleon, Honey Cake, etc.Lots of pickled goodies like mushrooms and vegetables. Nice fish assortment.
