Nice little shop with lots of artisan crafts. Staff was quite knowledgeable and friendly, offering great advice on places to visit. If you have some binoculars you may even see some seals on the rocks in water.

Lovely little spot along the Irish Loop, with tons of paintings, souvenirs, and artworks of all kinds by local Newfoundland artists. John, the owner, is welcoming and friendly- and quite the talented painter himself!

Wonderful store, eating place, concert hall all combined in John's Grandad's twine shop. Today an eclectic gallery is worth the stop in Renews. A historically significant bay which John will tell you all about.

This is a beautiful gift shop . The owner is “Rita “.And her husband “John” is a retired master ship merchant ,who since the age of 20 years has been a painter. The shop items are all hand made by local craftsperson’s. If you are in Renews, you should stop in and see the shop and speak with Rita. It’ll be worth your time.

MerryMeeting is more than local Arts and Crafts, they invite you into the heart of Newfoundland. Offering great service, suggestions, solutions to needs, delicious home-grown preserves, and treated us like family! We have been camping here for two days able to use wifi and facilities. Thank you Rita and John! We especially loved cooking cod stew on the beach and the boat ride this morning to see the puffins, seals and wrecks along the rocky shore outside the harbour.

After a long day of hiking and sightseeing this was a very welcome stop. John was very gracious and brewed us some fresh coffee. Cute shop with art, jewelry and knitted goods.

Great place to stop by. Good Coffe and nice things to buy! Nice Artwork in a lovely renovated old Building... I love the place! We also saw a bunch of seals nearby! Also they host now and then concerts there. You should definitly check it out!

They have a small collection of nick knacks and paintings, all locally produced. They offer coffee and have rest rooms as well as picnic tables on the beach.
