I applied for Alberta’s Drive Back to Work program. I was told it would take 10-15 business days for Ballad Group to process my application. 4 weeks later they didn’t even call me or send me a letter to let me know if I was approved. I called them and they told me I was approved, but stuck in a long cue of applicants. I did some research and found out that I was stuck in a long cue because evidently they weren’t processing applications and almost no one was being put into training through them. In fact, so few people were being put through driver training schools that their courses were on sale and their classrooms were almost empty! In the end they held me in this cue indefinitely until the program expired.

Take forever to do nothing. Can not fill out a form properly multiple times with the correct information in front of them. Terrible with communication and returning phone calls. Talk to you like you are the issue when they mess up or do not understand. Dodged a bullet not being trained by these geniuses.

They’re doing the driving back to work grant. I applied, I’m approved. They put me into a driving school. I do about 2 weeks worth of training for someone to call me and say there was something overlooked on my application. Because I’m receiving compassionate care giver ei I’m not eligible for the grant for the courses I’ve already been taking for 2 weeks. It’s only a 3 page application, so something that could take my funding away should have definitely been found way before I was “approved” or started training.

I am currently a student at ballad training center working on the supply chain management/warehousing certification. In order for my review to be fair and complete I will also give an update on January 6th when the course is complete. The Melcor building is clean and feels almost fancy classrooms are bright and spacious the layout sets the room up for inclusive interaction in a boardroom style design.  103 and jasper is easy to get to by bus train car or feet.Supply chain management instructor is Richard LaPlume (CLTD certified) is taking us through this complex course step by step breaking down this massive system into smaller components easier to digest.Everything in this classroom is worked out openly and we do not move on from a topic unless we grasp the concept interjection is only something Richard does to correct or find some other way of explaining it sometimes this can be a video or some other approach. This is such a good way to learn ballads supply chain instructor Richard LaPlume is professional , patient and easy to spend 6 hours a day with.Ryan is a ballads match maker he coaches students on interview strategies, resume overhaul placing us with the best work experience Via his vast network of reputable companies and contacts.Ryan is not a classroom teacher but a valuable part of employment placement he let's you decide on the ideal career path then dissappears working diligently to make that a reality. I need to just mention this young man is impressively intelligent.Nazia is HR and a instructor and so many other things.  She's there to make sure you are fully prepared to make this transition in life mentally emotionally and financially.Just being around nazia is almost enough she is so positive. It is stressful changing careers at any stage in life and I really want to be detailed in my review so others can know what to expect and maybe take some of the anxiety away. The staff at ballad are really amazing but this is still an industry recognized certification its a lot of work and takes dedication and commitment.I will update my review on January 6th until then 6 stars I highly recommend enrolling now I honestly do.
