I am highly disappointed by the service I received from them. The lawyer I talked to was not honest in his recommendations at all. I called them regarding a by-law infraction that City of Toronto tried to charge me with. They told me I need to pay for an initial 60 minutes consultation ($600+tax). During the consultation, the lawyer, Andrew Fortis, heard about my case and he recommended that we wait for the prosecutor disclosure. He told me clearly that, He will save my remainder of 40 minutes so we can use it for discussing the disclosure and he said that he recommended that I leave my questions for when he receives the disclosure. So basically, he did not provide answers to my questions, and I decided not to ask all my questions so I can use my rest of the time. I was waiting for the disclosure to arrive, and I received an email that they are closing my file and they charge me 25 minutes for the talk I had with him and 12 minutes for the email that he responded to me. so 37 minutes for nothing and they closed my file. They went exactly against what they recommended and promised. They did not even cared to call me and explain to me why they are not doing what they promised and they are closing the file. If I knew they will do that, I wanted to use my time and ask my questions. This is not only unacceptable, but highly unprofessional. Now if I want to continue with my case I have to pay another fee to another lawyer just for initial consultation. DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYBODY.Update: They issued me a full refund after I filed a complaint with the firm. But still, they wasted so much of my time that I could look for another legal advice
