Gui Gui Korean skewer BBQ
Tasty skewer place in North York! We went on a Friday and it was packed.They had an interesting grill that is designed specifically for cooking skewers (although you can also cook meat).They have a decent selection of skewers and other side dishes, but my personal favorite was the beef skewer. So tender and seasoned just right.Would highly recommend for some quality skewers.

Gui Gui Korean skewer BBQ
A Korean skewer place where the skewers turn around automatically to ensure smooth cooking. That was pretty cool to experience once. Food taste wise it was pretty good. You do have to monitor your food to make sure it doesn't burn, but you can just put it above the direct fire if you want to eat it warm later. There is a decent amount of variety for skewers - minimum 5 types to order (in sets of 2 or 4), so I'd recommend going with at least 3-4 people to hit the minimum. It does add up price wise, being ~ $7 for 4 skewers.The space is very late night Korean bar feel. We went in a group of 7 at the back and only had one skewer section to ourselves at our table (the table next to us was leaking water from the ceiling) so we didn't have that much space for all the food we ordered on our table. The food came pretty quickly, but a lot of the hot items got cold fast unfortunately because of the space issue. We also ordered a drink which came with traditional cups, but two of our cups had a leak and one was big enough that we just got another bottle on the house lol. Service was also pretty slow after we got our food - we were at the back but basically weren't checked up on much at all during the meal.

Gui Gui Korean skewer BBQ
A pretty fun way to bbq. The skewers roll back and forth while on the grill which is fun to do/watch. The meats cook fairly quickly. Some of the meats were very tasty and some were just ok. I didn't like the rice cakes skewer; they were too hard and not chewy. The skewered meat portions are kind of small and not filling. Our group ordered a lot and had 2 rounds. It was pretty busy on Friday night but service was ok. This is a fun group thing; good for socializing and drinking while waiting for the food to cook.

Korean BBQ skewer place that not only had skewers but also does table BBQ! For skewers we got lamb (original and spicy), curry pork, original beef, rice cake and sausage skewers, buttered corn, and marshmallows! We ordered a fish cake soup and stir-fry beef intestines as well and I must say the beef intestines is a must try. The fish cake soup on the other hand was meh. Their grill also moves the skewers automatically so that it gets grilled evenly. I highly recommend coming to Gui Gui just for the experience!

Fantastic place, as staff is very friendly. The skewers are good, the panchan and the sauce is superb. Highly recommend cold noodles and kimchi fried rice, the portion is extremely good for the price.Downside is that the space is a bit small, may not suit large groups.Will definitely comeback!

1. Parking : They have a very convenient and spacious parking area behind the building. It might be a bit confusing to locate it if you're a first time visitor, but the staff will kindly help you if you call and ask them.2. Place : All of their tables have ventilation and automated skewer roasting system installed on top of them like the attached picture and video. Obviously very convenient and comfortable. They have cozy outdoor patio with heating lamps too!3. Food : I've tried their famous lamb, beef, pork skin, steamed egg and cold noodle but none of them missed the mark. What's best is how their skewers are not salty and they give 3 dipping sauces per head. few side dishes are given per table and they change the menu for those complementary side dishes every once in a while to use fresh ingredients as well.4. Service : I would give 10 stars if I could. When I came back to this place, the staff surprisingly remembered my group and told us how they appreciate our revisit. They realized that we had a birthday person in the group and shocked us with these unexpectedly amazing gifts. They gave a bigger portion than what we ordered and even got us a cheese cake!!! We felt almost guilty for all that hospitality. Everyone is genuine and super kind. They are great people and certainly understand what customer service is. It definitely was a great experience.Special thanks to manager Brian and Kathy! You guys are such a treasure! xoxo

Great KBBQ place! The staff were extremely attentive and checked up on us multiple times throughout our visit to ask if we needed anything. Side dishes included spicy cucumber, cold noodles, salad, and soup. The meat was also seasoned well and surprisingly did not stick to the grill as much as some places I’ve been to. Portions are also generous and 3 proteins are enough to fill up a group of 4! Our total came out to about $27 and we were all incredibly satisfied. Currently they have a promotion where if you leave a Google review you get a free soft drink so definitely take advantage :)

Love this place! we've been back a few times now and it seems like the food gets tastier with every visit. the staff is very friendly and helpful and doesn't skip a beat when offering assistance.the kalbi skewers, seafood pancake and cold noodles are our go-to every time. they also have sides that come with the meal.will be back again!

Cool experience cooking your own skewers. it has an automatic bbq that rotates the skewers.the lamb is the best flavoured meat. beef, pork and chicken was okay. skip the chicken and pork skin, it won't gey crispy.the seafood pancake was fantastic. it was crispy and had a good amount of seafood.the kimchi fried rice was okay. it did not have enough kimchi flavor but liked that it had purple rice. the texture of the steamed egg was of a baked fluffy egg and not a silky texture.the table we had the lighting wasn't that bright so it was hard to see the color on the meat if it was cooked. they have other tables that did not have this issue. overall it was interesting, i would return and recommend it. service here was great, you will have a good time.
