Running Room

I had the worst customer service experience while shopping for runners today at the Eau Claire Running Room location. I didn’t happen to catch the employees name, but he was very rude, condescending, elitist, and honestly confrontational for no reason.I asked for advice for a runner that is ideal for walking/running on concrete around the city. He advised me that “we only specialize in running shoes and, it looks like all you wear is Vans”. I also mentioned I wear superfeet and he immediately said they wouldn’t do anything for a regular shoe. I am a experienced boot fitter at a ski shop and know for a fact they work.I knew I wanted to try on Hoka runners, and he scoffed at me, saying they are a specialty runner and are completely different from anything else. Running room lost a customer today, Gord’s running store gained one.

Saw Mike today at the running room and was very pleased with the experience. I've been looking for new shoes for refereeing, and Mike helped me find exactly what I needed. Highly recommend this professional and friendly store.

Not a great selection, not an attentive staff, if you are looking to run in the shoes you buy ID recommend going to another store.

I love this location! Came in yesterday for a new pair of runners as my friends and are training for a half marathon! John was my salesperson and he was amazing! I really appreciated him taking the time to explain everything and find the best runners for me based on my specific foot type! My friend and I both got our runners from here and I'd recommend this place to anyone looking to get some great gear! Thanks again John!

Great selection of everything for running! And very helpful and experienced staff! They also have a demo set for the bone conduction headphones which was very useful to test drive!

I went to the running room in Eau Claire. The staff I met was so lovely. It was almost closing time but she was very patient with me. She was also very knowledgeable and was able to find the perfect pair of shoes. I would definitely go back there as the staff was so lovely and helpful

I am a novice runner, so I visited the Running Room in Eau Claire to purchase a pair of shoes. The associate who greeted me, Mike, was very friendly and welcoming. Within few minutes, he had 3 pairs of shoes narrowed down based on his observations of my gait and the shape of my feet. All 3 pairs were extremely comfortable. His guidance enabled me to choose the best pair for my needs. I asked some other questions related to shoe wear-and-tear, socks, etc., all of which were answered and explained thoroughly. Overall, my experience was excellent; I’m very glad that I decided to stop in for expert advice!

A small running room. Not much selection and everything feels cramped. I felt like a bull in a china shop" type vibe where if I turn around something might tip over. Looks like they have appropriate inventory for running such as shoes & accessories however when I started inquiring about basic swimming gear the shop keeper kept saying "No we don't have".Other running rooms used to carry a much more robust swim wear selection so I'm not sure if it based on location & supply and demand though."

Went in looking to see what kind of sales they had as my new balance 880’s were hitting end of life. I had asked the lady there if they had changed the heel of the shoe from the v10 to the v11 since I felt the cushion didn’t last as long. I believe it was Greg who came over and mentioned that it could be my running form and mentioned I should shorten my stride a bit and straighten up. He also have a demonstration of how my stride should look.I took his advice these last two weeks and have lowered my heart rate and increased my pace on my runs. Very helpful advice! You will continue to have a customer in me in the future.Cheers!
