Girlfriends car broke down while travelling from Vancouver to Kelowna, U-Haul in Merritt was beyond helpful. It was actually cheaper to rent a U-Haul for the remainder of the voyage then it was to rent a car from Kamloops and have them come to Merritt to pick up. If I'm ever in a pinch like this again I will be heading strait here to rent. Great service, very accommodating and friendly.

Only needed a trailer for 2 days but I was forced to rent it for 4 for some unknown reason. Brought it back after day two

Annie seemed like the first human I had talked to after several calls to UHaul to schedule an auto transport in Kamloops. With almost 2 weeks advance scheduling, I was called 2 days before pick up by Annie in Merritt, letting me know that no trailers were available in Kamloops and she had the only one in the area. After explaining the route I was travelling, and that Merritt would be beyond Kamloops and I would have to double back, adding 2 hours to the trip, she called other UHaul branches on my route before Kamloops to try to find one for me, after not being able to get through to the main UHaul line. But, no luck, she was the only branch within hours of Merritt with an auto fill transport.Day of picking up, we were stuck in traffic following a fatal accident on Highway 5 for 5 hours. When I finally arrived in Merritt, I was noticably stressed and explained we were on the verge of missing the last ferry to Victoria. When a lot of people would have responded negatively to that kind of pressure and stress, she seemed to be entirely empathetic and worked very quickly to get us out the door, despite computer glitches, multiple people coming in the door, other people in line, etc. Can't say enough about her. They also run a machine/metal/mechanic shop, and people and items were coming in for that as well and she was quickly getting those things organized and mobilized while she helped me. Very impressive.The serviceman who set the trailer up was also sympathetic of our situation and came out right away, got it set up quickly, and was very down to earth as far as going over the trailer in general and getting us moving as soon as possible and safe. He watched the trailer and hitch as we maneuvered out to make sure the chains weren't dragging and everything checked out, gave us a thumbs up and we were on our way.UHaul in Merritt saved me from more stress in a very stressful day, responded positively to my pushy, stressed out self, and we made the last ferry to our destination (with 3 kids under 3 and 2 pets).UHaul in Merritt, 5 stars, excellent service.Thanks Annie!

The booking agent was very helpful. I picked up the vehicle within 20 minutes. All seemed well until I put gas in the vehicle and discovered the tank had a giant hole in it. After 2 hours on the phone with customer support and road side assistance I managed to secure another vehicle.

Helpful and knowledgable, with an expedient process to sign out the U-Haul.

It was my first time at this location... The lady Annie Emma,, was awesome,, very polite an respectful...I will come back here again next time I need to rent a trailer again.. Mind you I live just outside of Merritt BC

I booked a uhaul 5 days ago and got a phone call this morning saying that I couldn’t pick my uhaul up from the location selected because they’re closed until Tuesday but I could pick it up 100km away and pay the difference of KM which was an extra $100+. Doesn’t make any sense as to why I can’t pick it up with my phone like I can at ANY other uhaul in this country or why the company needed to wait to notify me of this less then 24hrs before my reservation instead of when it was made considering they knew you’d be closed.
