Over the Top installed a 22kW Generac home back up generator for us last year as a sub-contractor when we had a shop built on our acreage by Vicon Homes.I don't think they knew how to set it up properly because we've had nothing but problems with it. The 3 optional cold weather kits don't seem to be working being that the generator fails to start when its -30C. The generator itself is registered to the Generac facility in Wisconsin as the physical location of the unit, causing constant problems with servicing and billing for Generac's Mobil Link app. And there is no main shut off for the grid power and therefore no way to test the unit unless the power goes out.Aside from the Generator problems there were quite a few other issues with the electrical during the build as well, cables too short, broken conduit, unsuitable cables for direct bury, etc. etc. etc.I do not recommend Over the Top.

We used OTE to install an outlet, and separate cable run for a TV wall mount above our living room fireplace. The quote was beyond fair, and the gentleman sent out was prompt and professional. All of the work was completed in a timely fashion, and looks like it would have been installed when we originally built the homes. He took great care in cleaning up any of the mess created from cutting drywall, and left the space as clean as when he arrived.I would recommend CJ and Over the Top for any work that someone may require within their property. Not only were we able to support local, but it's refreshing to be able to deal with an honest contractor who honors his work.Th
