Dawson Road Maintenance

I have lived in 100 Mile House area for over 27 years. Saying that I would like to say that this year the snow clearing on the highway has been the best I think it has been ever been. The snow is being pushed well back off the road and where the road slants the snow is pushed into the ditch keeping the run off from freezing over night. It would be nice if more sand was used instead of the 1/8 gravel saving people's windows. The other thing I would like to say is the traffic control people work hard but would be able to do their jobs with more pride and be able to do their jobs keeping the traveling public and the crew safer if the were better equipped. As a flagger myself I feel sorry for them as they get covered with blood from picking up dead animals and then have to flag an accident. Spend a little on good equipment for them and let all your employees work with a sense of pride because the company is setting them up for success.I do not work for IRL I work for one of the other traffic control companies in town and I love my job and because our owner cares we can all work with a smile. Please do the same for not only your flaggers but for the crews that work so hard to keep our roads cleared.Sincerely YoursHappy resident

I will be following up this review with contacting the District. And contacting Dawson directly. In the event of an emergency anyone on any side road in the 108 Mile is in trouble! Living on a steeper road I can’t get out and worse yet no one can get in. Several vehicles stuck yesterday, including a Hydro truck. Locals out on the road with blowers and tractors clearing and helping each other. (Thanks to them) for safety reasons,This is unacceptable in any community! Days will go by before Dawson shows. Shame on the District and Dawson!

Trash. It’s been 5 days since we had a substantial snowfall and Dawson with their complete lack of accountability and responsibility still hasn’t fired up the plows. Do you guys have only one plow driver? Think he could get around to doing his job today?

Social Media is very explicit regarding the horrendous conditions of the roads in and around the 100 Mile House area. This is nothing new. For years, we have asked for our road to be maintained with a small amount of gravel. Nothing. Why is it that the road conditions outside of the area are in good condition ????

I don't see nothing rong with them

Bell Road was graded yesterday and Dawson did an awesome job. It was horrible before and now it is tremendous!!! Thank you to all the staff who made this happen. Very thankful.

I called Dawson to complain about my road being full of potholes a few weeks ago and I was told someone would call me back and I never heard from anyone.

If I could find a negative star, I would definitely give one to Interior Roads for the winter of 2017-2018. Snow removal is the worst I have ever seen in the 40 years I have lived in the Cariboo.

Needs better management less bonuses should be more performance pay job

Poor maintenance and snow removal for the bus routes up Fountain Valley Rd.Ther are many places the banks have sluffed on the pavement and rocks on the pavement. It has been properly maintained in several years and causing dangerous travel around blind corner as the road is no longer a full two lanes.
