I spent 40$ on a pair of nail clippers that give the same result as the ones I was replacing. I told the girl it was for my 3 lb chihuahua and her nails split and crack. I told her they are wider then a usual nail because they don't really get smaller at the ends. She recommended this 40$ pair of clippers that are for big dogs and the clip is so big that it would take her pad off along with the nail! I can't return them because I didn't take the receipt because she was so convincing they would work. My fault I know, but this girl clearly works on commission or has no idea about animals or how to care for them.

I frequent best west regularily, i really love the place. My only problem is when i buy f/t mice, theyre always extremely small for their supposed size to where i have to feed my snake multiple in one sitting. I understand its where they get their mice from but it was very inconvenient. Everything else about the store is amazing though!

Have been there multiple times for pet supplies. The staff is always welcoming and super helpful. They know a lot about the pets and care/supplies required. Which I can't say the same for many pet stores!Also one of the few stores that sell a variety of hamster supplies and food.

I took my 5 month rescue Mastiff Shepard X here after not being able to groom or trim nails. The groomer is fantastic and all the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Reasonably priced and made my pup feel right at home. Thanks Best West Foods Portage Ave!Customer secured.

Great place. Where I like to get me feeders for my python. They have a great selection of all pet foods from fish to ferrets. A good handful of small pets to purchase.

We live close by and have had continuous behavioral and diet challenges with our cats. The staff are very knowledgable and provide great advice for our babies. After all, they're pet owners!They have a wide range of food and toys for us to explore, and a loyalty program for purchasing food. The store is always tidy when we come in as well.

Definitely has a great selection of small rodent toys, much better than the bigger chain stores with a nice price point. The staff member who helped me was quite knowledgeable and suggested whimzee sticks as a chewing option for my pet, which I didn't know were safe for gerbils! She loves these things and I will be going back for more.
