Peck's Cottages

We recently stayed at Peck's Cottages. Our cottage was very clean our beds were comfortable, nice new larger flat screen tv with cable and the wifi was great. We used the kitchen a little, had all the pots, pans and untensils we needed. Fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker, kettle and tea pot. Coffee & Filters and Tea with whitner and suger was all there, even a bag of popcorn for the microwave (nice touch) there was also salt and pepper.BBQ on the front porch was great to have for a quick dinner. About two minutes from the Fortress. Clean, Quiet and well set up for a traveling family.

Excellent stay. Smack downtown Louisbourg. Clean, confortable, almost felt like a little home away from home. Our cabin came with basic utensils and dishes. Staff was warm and welcoming. Very reasonably priced compared to other places booked on our trip. Will be my go-to next visit!

The owner owns the cottages, the RV campgrounds, and the laundromat. The check-in main office is behind the cottages. Read the signs pointing to it.No smoking allowed in the cottages and the laundromat. Not allowed to move the furniture. If using the cutlery, utensils, cooking equipment, they must be washed, dried and put back in the cupboards... Or else there will be a $20 fee charged to your credit card. We had cottage #4.The cottage has a kitchen, a dining area, and an area with sofas with a tv. There's a fan. No AC. There are 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom.There's a laundromat right beside the cottages. Open from 8 am to 8 pm. But seems to be open earlier. The washer is $2.00 and the dryer is $3.00. it's called Peck's Laundromat.The wifi is spotty. Keeps on disappearing.The bathroom is small, everything is squished beside each other. The one of the bedroom is more spacious than the other.The beds are soft and bouncy, but creaks like an old bed. There are closets and dressers. The shower head in the bathroom works, but it leaks, so water goes up and hits the ceiling and then rains down on you... And then, somehow gets outside of the shower curtain and wets the toilet.The sleep on the bed was okay. My back does ache. Everyone else slept okay. The bathroom fan doesn't work.There's coffee, tea and a bag of popcorn. There's a old coffee maker. There's a BBQ and chairs on the porch.The cottage is close to many locations of interest here. It's 0.5 km away from the Fortress of Louisbourg. If you Trip Advisor the cottage, you can read what locations of interest are around here.Our stay here was okay. Good location. Other things... Not so much.

Nice place to stay. We were really close from the fortress of Louisbourg. Really clean place and cozy. The owner was pretty nice. Good service!! If i would go back i will bring a small grocery because we are far from the town.

Peck's cottages were perfect for our family of four. Cottage was very clean, and had everything we needed to make basic meals. Sea breeze kept the cottage cool enough to sleep. Lots to do in and around Louisbourg, especially if you're outdoorsy. Owner was very kind and gracious. Wifi and cable in cottage made for an easy way to entertain the kids between activities. Campground associated with Peck's has swings the kids can use.We'd definitely stay here again. Thanks for a great stay!

Stayed here for a bight after visiting fortress louisbourg. Very clean and a nice sized cottage. Fair prices also.

Older cabins, but well-maintained and scrupulously clean! Our stay was comfortable, and friendly staff helped to make it so. I am happy to recommend this place not least because of their most reasonable prices!
