Shamim Ahmed is a very good man. I got to pray with him. We spoke a little bit. I bought some books, and even got a discount. Overall, a great experience. His bookstore filled with tons of books and Islamic Souvenirs. I highly recommend it.

Great place to get anything you need. Warm atmosphere and has been in the community for a long time. Got an azaan clock and some books for a good price, they were very helpful in explaining what we were getting.

My husband is a Muslim and I am learning about Islam. There is a lot of judgement about Muslim religion, but my opinion started to change when I met my husband. But I thought he was a one off, but he always said true Muslim people have the gold heart. Seeing the brothers in the store today treat us really well has definitely been a great example for what my husband has been telling me about Islam and the way that prophet Mohamed (Sal) wants to treat everybody with a warm heart. I will definitely recommend this store for brothers and sisters, and for even non-Muslim people who are curious and want to learn about Islam.

I brought my wife to Islamic Books & Souvenirs during our visit to Toronto in December and we were both impressed with the books and merchandise the store had to offer. The owner was very friendly and took the time to chat with us about religion and his life. We bought a beautiful prayer piece that we have since put in our home in Ottawa.
