Esther is not just super duper talented, she's delightfully sweet, kind, warm and easy to work with. Just about every guest she interacted with at our event found me later to say how lovely she was and ask where we found her. Not only that, she provided us with oodles of fantastic photos to remember our special day(s). I can't say enough nice things about Esther and her work. I will be contacting her for every photo-worthy event in my life from here on out.

Esther is fantastic! My fiance hired her to capture his proposal and I was so shocked and unaware of everything. From the moment I realized Esther was snapping photos of us, I instantly felt comfortable with her presence, she's very friendly, fun, the photoshoot wasn't awkward at all, and I credit that to her calming presence. The photos are absolutely stunning and I couldn't be happier. From what I heard from my fiance he had to make some last minute changes and Esther was very accommodating. Thank you Esther!

Esther more than knocked it out of the park! From the first email, to our introduction meeting, to the days leading up to the wedding, and all the way through our truly unpredictable wedding day (lost power, heat wave, downpour, 100% humidity), Esther was a positive, professional, and reassuring GEM-O! And then we got the pictures!!! Absolutely stunning, fully of energy, and more than we could have hoped for. She is kind, knowledgeable, and extremely talented. Would strongly recommend Esther for any event, or even a passport ID. She can do anything.

I cannot recommend Esther enough. She helped me achieve all of my goals for the proposal and more—I truly couldn't have done it without her. She helped me find a location in Montreal that was exactly what I had asked for. On the day, she remained poised and professional, settling my fiancée and I's nerves. I chose Esther to capture my surprise proposal at the old port during the fireworks festival. From the first email I knew I had made the right choice, She was great and described her packages. She has tips and suggestions on the location and lighting to ensure my Fiancee's reaction would be captured. Esther got to the location a half hour before the fireworks and made contact via text to let me know she had spotted us. She took many Candid shots of us before the proposal and then captured the moment perfectly. We then went off for an engagement shoot in old Montreal. There are challenges of shooting at night but Esther knew exactly how to get the lighting just right! She also know of many great locations (little Alleyways and courtyards) that made for amazing photos.I would choose Esther again in a heartbeat and she has giving us the photos to go along with the great memories of such an amazing day in our relationship!

We had the absolute privilege of having Esther as our wedding photographer in August of 2022, following the peak of covid. We also ordered a more casual family photo shoot with her prior to the wedding, so that we would feel more relaxed on the big day.A local photographer recommended Esther and honestly, we couldn't have imagined a better fit. We had been trying to find a photographer who understood the unique but subtle complexities that can exist for queer folks getting married. How traditional weddings are steeped in ideologies pertaining to gender, marriage, sexuality, and what constitutes family. Esther understood, and was that person.Esther immediately gained our trust with her professional nature. She made us feel special, and less awkward when feeling awkward. Esther was extremely gracious with her time - both in person, or by phone, internet video calls, or Email. We live three hours from Montreal, but that was never a concern for both of our photo shoots. Her genuine excitement leading up to our wedding was sweet to witness.Good communication was another attribute we appreciated in Esther. She really listened to our hopes and vision, and spent time and energy reassuring us, answering our many questions, and adapting on the fly in a post-pandemic world. Her energy was calming, grounding, and genuine.Esther was a very large part of one of the biggest days of our lives, as a couple and family. Her photos were absolutely incredible and exactly what we wanted. The candid and raw nature of her photos were such a beautiful and accurate depiction of our wedding. She blended in seamlessly on the day of the wedding - in a way where she was simultaneously everywhere at once but in a very discreet way. She captured moments that were special and intimate, alongside the less inhibited late night photos.She was outstanding with our kids, our pets, our friends and relatives. With Esther, we felt comfortable, understood, and seen - we didn't just feel like another couple". So many of our friends and family came up to us afterward and commented about how great she was

I found Esther Gibbons through Google since i did not know any photographers in the Montreal area and honestly I can not praise her enough. Not only was she patient with us getting lost on our way to the top of Mount Royale but she was overly accommodating and helpful. As someone who does not like getting their photo taken, Esther made my fiancé and I feel very comfortable and created an environment that was very welcoming and adaptable to our personalities. We were a group of eight and on the spot she picked different sceneries to complement the chaos of having our company there for our engagement photos. If you are looking to have your proposal or wedding captured, I highly recommend going with Esther Gibbons!

Esther took excellent photos of my grandmother’s 100th birthday celebration in Old Montreal, and was a pleasure to work with. Before the event, she was responsive and available. During the celebration, she merged easily into the crowd and captured a wide range of touching moments from a variety of angles and ranges, with both kids and adults. The images were ready well before we expected. The photo quality had great feel – unpretentious and true to the moments, and impressive crispness despite dim lighting in a physically constricted space. We got great outdoor photos in the evening light too. Overall, very good value.

Esther is an absolute gem! During our pre-ceremony couple photos, she made us feel comfortable in front of the camera with her cheerful demeanor and gentle guidance, and we ended up having a fantastic time. We chose her for her candid, authentic style and we love the way she captured the most special moments, big and small, from our ceremony, cocktail and reception.
