Strawberry Blonde Bakery
Picked up their Very Cherry cake at Farm Boy to try. It is inedible and awfully dry. Probably the worst gf/vegan cake I've ever tried. It has no flavour and the only somewhat good part is the icing. Not even past expiry so it shouldn't have been so dry. Tossing it in the trash.

After leaving Toronto I wasn't sure I'd find any bakeries to suit my dietary needs—but I was wrong! Strawberry Blonde has a delicious menu with fun seasonal treats, as well as plenty of sweet & savoury goodies to stuff your freezer with. I do wish they used nut flours and milks for the protein & flavour, but I totally understand the need to cater to more allergies!Gluten free, vegan (dairy & egg free), nut free and kosher!

Gluten Free: Yes. Everything here is GF, however, a lot of their foods contain common allergens. Therefore it is recommended to look at their ingredients book.Quality: this is a popular brand for GF items in Ottawa, however, the quality in these items will vary depending on location, time of visit, and availability.The overall appearance of this establishment seemed simple, however, it should be noted that this is not a traditional cafe where you can sit and enjoy. At the time of visit, tables and chairs where places in a corner, and it seemed to be just a takeout (this could be due to COVID). The floors appeared dirty, and the atmosphere was not very welcoming. However, the front personés were very helpful and answered all the questions!ProTip: If looking for a cake, call ahead.WiFi: No

As someone with a severe egg allergy it's great to be able to go into a bakery and know that everything there is safe for you to eat and you can order anything that appeals to you. If you didn't know it was vegan you wouldn't think twice about it, my husband even loved them and he doesn't have any dietary restrictions.Over the years I've had to just make my own egg free baked goods at home so I don't actually get to indulge all that often because it's a lot of work and often goes to waste because it's too much for us. It's great to know there's a place I can go and get a small piece of dessert whenever I want. Also love that it's sold at Farmboy.I've spent countless hours in bakeries in the past having to review the ingredients on each item to check for egg only to be disappointed that most items contained it. I also almost never bother getting any baked goods or sweets when I'm out with family or friends because I don't like having to get the workers to check ingredients on every single potential item I'd like to try and then finding out there's nothing I can have. Having this place where I can walk in, not have to ask questions and pick anything I want is great.

Strawberry Blonde Bakery
This was my 1st time trying the bakery, and I chose the Kanata location. I love carrot cake so saw the opportunity to take advantage of a new business I recognized in the area.It was a nice cake, my only complaint would be that the cream cheese icing was too sweet and there was too much of it on the small 4 in cake . If I go back again, I would be interested to know if it’s possible to be less sweet and less of it on the cake? How about just covering it enough to combine the 2 layers like a fondant?good news, the online process worked well, and service was friendly when I went to pick up cake.

The best vegan gluten free bread I have ever had. And those cinnamon buns!!! Nanimo bars, seasonal chocolates ( even Hanukkah gelt ), savoury pies - all are terrific.

Strawberry Blonde Bakery
I tried the strawberry blonde bakery for the first time . Cafe mocha is delicious with coconut milk . Also tried the Nanaimo bar , cup cakes and chocolate cake . I can’t give five stars because it’s toooo sweet even though it’s vegan . I felt like having too much sugar even for a single piece of dessert. Other than that I can appreciate the way they make gluten free which would be beneficial for people with dietary restrictions.

I can't say enough about this amazing & delicious bakery! Having a vegan/gluten-free/nut free bakery offering safe and delicious products is just wonderful. Of many other treats, their double chocolate cake is to die for. We were so impressed with the quality and deliciousness of that cake! Great bakery all around!

Strawberry Blonde Bakery
A gluten free, vegan, nut free, AND kosher bakery?!? I'm so happy bakeries like these are starting to come into existence and flourishing. There were too many options, I didn't even know where to begin. Donuts, cinnamon buns, cookies, bagels, bread, brownies, cake pops, you name it! Everything tastes amazing so you really can't go wrong. No dine in option, but definitely worth a visit.
