Chandler Mowat Community Centre

I thought this community center was open. Turns out, it isn't. The office ladies prefer to sit in their office and surf their phones RATHER THAN DO THEIR JOBS!!!I came to the center to relax and use the facility... I knocked on the locked front door... during operating hours. No-one bothered to come. Another person came and knocked, saying that the center was supposed to be open... still, no sign of life???Please let the public, for which this community center is a source of joy in this pandemic, know that it is, in fact no longer available to the community.I would love to have someone follow-up with me, so that I can let the community know that your center is or is not open.Ang

The staff here are nice and very helpful with resources. They often host little community day events for the locals

An untapped resource!! Community Garden plot, splash pad, Basketball nets AND more! A great little spot for the surrounding neighborhood.

Great location for summer camp with splash pad!

My son just turned 7 and this year I was late putting him in his first camp.. not many camps were available in my current price range.. especially since I wasn't sure if my son would like it! I wasn't spending a fortune on something he doesn't want to go to.. so after looking everywhere we came across this community center 3 day summer camp(Monday, Wednesday, Friday).. figured it was cheap and 3 days a week is perfect for my son to get his feet wet and see if he likes going to camp..Turns out.. he loves it!! I was worried at first.. usually you get what you pay for.. in this case I was nicely surprised!!.. My son is going to be getting signed up for yet another 3 day week later on in the summer!Also.. after sending him, I have talked to other people I know and I have found out that every child I know of that has gone there for a camp(summer/winter/March break etc.), has loved it!!.. All the councilors seemed really nice to me when we were greeted at the door, so I felt confident leaving my son there and later I talked to my son and he seems to love all the people operating the camp!!I am very pleased and would recommend this camp to anyone especially if they are just trying out camps for the first time!!Shy kids might like this camp since it isn't everyday.. I was very shy growing up I understand and so I think this would be good camp for any kid to try!!I hope this helps!!

I really love this place. They have a nice park and free public splash pad, only reason I didn't give 5 stars is due to the repairs needed on the splash that have been unattended for a year.

The park here is actually pretty clean, as in there was hardly any litter. The splash pad had attendants, though they were NOT friendly what so ever.

We like to go to this centre even though we live outside Chandler Mowat. They have interesting free programs including summercamps. However summercamps does require registration and minimal pay.

Nice place and they have a wonderful program.
