I came up on this little place and was pleasantly surprised. I guess I had walked in like the back door I didn't know there was a different door but they greeted me right away. They asked me for my ID and my vaccine records which was okay with me they seated me. I asked about their menu I ordered a couple different rolls I got them in a very timely manner. They both had very good flavor. I'm from the United States and so something I ordered I had never had before. The girl that waited on me was so nice and so friendly she was patient while I rent my car and got some Canadian money to tip her. I will definitely eat here again thank you for such good service. The place was like surprisingly very busy want to take out a lot of people had reservations.

Stopped here late in the evening and the staff were happy to squeeze us in. We ordered a couple rolls each, and everything was good. The menu is huge with a lot of unique rolls to try. Serveral options for vegetarians as well.

This is the most down-to-earth sushi restaurant in Nelson. The food is delicious, the service is super-friendly, and the dining area is spacious. I never feel crowded when I eat there no matter how full the restaurant is. I highly recommend the agadashi tofu as an appetizer!

Seriously amazing, honestly so so good. Only bad thing I would say is the cocktails all tasted like straight sugar syrup with a couple flavours added, they were tasty but really just sugar syrup. The sushi was amazing, value for what you got was great, atmosphere and attentiveness was great. Really lovely!

Unfortunately with my two times eating here the customer service wasn't the best. The first time I went during a slow time and there were only two other tables with people, but my server brought a menu but didn't take my drink order. I was very thirsty. Finally after a while I went over to the server standing behind the counter and asked for a glass of water. She seemed annoyed and said yes she'd bring it. It took 15 mins for me to get water! Even after a friend showed up and she took our food order... the water didn't come until our food did. As for the second time I ate there, we weren't ready to order when the waiter asked us and asked him to come back in 2 minutes. 15 minutes later he finally came to get our food order. The sushi tasted good but I won't be going back due to the inattentive service.

Great little spot. Daughter and I shared a few delicious sushi rolls. Discovered our favourite was the Popcorn Roll. It was unique with fried scallops with crunchy bits covering the rolls laid flat. Great combination of flavours. Definitely recommend a visit. I will return whenever I’m in town.

Average at best, definitly nothing special here but it will do for an average sushi fix. After another recent visit I'm dropping from 3 to 2 stars. Not very good, mushy tempura, chicken tempura roll tasted off, tuna roll barely fresh. I wouldn't recommend. In a town full of amazing restaurants I'd give this one a definite pass. Tried again for lunch, freshness has improved but avoid the dynamite roll,its terrible, worst I've ever had! Gross! Overly sweet, full of fake crab and the smallest prawn I've ever seen, I knew there was prawn in there by the tails, maybe only tails on the ends with no prawns at all. 0 stars, terrible! Prices are too high for the quality. 2 stars at best.

Just can't say enough about how good this place is!! Everything we ordered was impeccably presented, and delicious. The sake cocktails are sublime. Decor is comfortable and fresh. Staff are all amazing and knowledgeable and welcoming. (They also have fresh rolls available packaged for quick take out) I'm a sushi girl, and I'm comfortable saying that this is the best sushi place I've been to in the region. Can't wait until they open their Castlegar Restaurant! A+++

Some of the best Sushi this far from the coast. Smallish venue with private booths as well. I would definitely recommend the Lobster and Crab special roll! Friendly staff and beautiful Sakura blossom trees inside. Definitely worth a try.
