Do not deal with these guys. I placed a deposit to secure a rate as per Matthew Shewchuck’s request when the bank placed a hold on my cheque - when the bank had to hold my cheque from a US company I was advised that my deposit was to be used to pay the difference in the amount I secured. Olympia Trust should have held this deposit until I had my funds in place no matter how long it took for my funds to clear. I’ve had no response from them in a week since requesting my monies be returned. My advice would be to get a rate from these guys and go back to your bank to see if they will match the exchange rate.

I called Olympia Trust foreign exchange for a quote after we sold our house in US. We were quoted a teaser rate initially, when we actually wanted to proceed, the rate was even higher than our bank. They advertise good rates but it's just a bait n switch. Will not recommend them! Also, staff is quite rude and unprofessional.
