Valiant Storage Units

Durham Police issued a warning July 2021 after Valiant storage in Whitby had been broken into 76 times SO FAR THIS YEAR.76 times by July. DO NOT STORE YOUR BELONGINGS HERE IF YOU VALUE THEM.My snowboard complete with boots, my fishing rods and more were stolen. The manager Garrett told me If I had something valuable I wouldn't store it in a storage locker" VALIANT STORAGE great work. They can text us about ongoing pavement work but not "Hey our location is being targeted by thieves

I called the property manager Garett to express my concerns regarding my recent experience with Valiant Storage located in Whitby. The phone call was not returned although I left a voicemail. I hope this review would propel you to put customers at the center of everything you do and prioritize service above money.

Any negative review on here is from people who probably DID NOT PAY THEIR STORAGE RENT. If you pay your rent, on time and not late, AS YOU SHOULD, your stuff would not be sold, and you would most likely have no issues. I knew many people who rented from this storage site and had great experiences. Don't listen to these nonsense delinquent reviews.

I have to say..Worst customer service I have ever recieved!!!!!!!!!!!went to rent a unit today.. the woman behind the counter was extremely rude. she wouldnt let us ask our questions at all just kept cutting us off saying no. we asked to look at a unit and she wrote a number on a piece of paper and pointed in the direction. turned us off big time! would never rent from this place ever!!!!!!!

On dec 24th, I inquired about renting a unit for a few months as I was getting ready to do a home renovation. And I was going to get started after Christmas. I had booked an apt at my bank directly after to secure the financing and to save time as I needed to leave town directly after.I was advised that I should reserve the unit for 14 days as I didnt need it right away. So I put up approx $85 to reserve it.I headed to the bank afterwards to find out that due to covid, the financing would take approx 4-5 weeks to secure.Approx 2 hours after I reserved to unit I called to cancel the reservation and explained the situation to the receptionist, and explained that I will still need a unit, but in a month now, and that id be happy to come back.The receptionist called me back on Dec 29th, and said that her manager had a 'too bad so sad' approach to the issue.Yes I signed a document to reserve a unit, but for 2 hours, they were unwilling to work with me to try and resolve the issue. I explained that if they couldn't refund me that I would book a unit elsewhere at the end of the month. 'Too bad so sadI will never use them again for self storage

Don’t rent here!!! This place is a joke for security! I just got my unit broken into yesterday! How hard is it to invest in cameras? Shame on you Valiant Storage! You care more about money than peoples belongings! This place has units broken into weekly! This was told to me by the Durham Regional police!Unbelievable!You should warn people about the high number of break ins/ thefts and tell them to buy disc locks! Too bad I was told this after I got robbed!SMH!!!

DO NOT STORE YOUR ITEMS HERE. Poor customer service and not to mention the lies told to get you to store your items with them. WORST EXPERIENCE Misleading people with Information so they can sign up. Be honest about your policies and STOP TRICKING PEOPLE OUT OF THEIR HARD EARNED MONEY. Wish I read the reviews and asked more questions because after storing my items here I was told this place has a horrible reputation. Property manager has a horrible attitude and is not easy to work with.

Friend loves it.. I have nothing to store personally...

It's cheap and good for short term use like any storage but maintenance is not high on their priority.

My unit was broken into twice in one week along with other units. I was informed by the property manager that they are taking steps to try increase security.The staff are always friendly and helpful.
