Honey Do List Handyman

Called Joe to install curtain rods, he quoted a price which I accepted. 2 hours later he added some extra charges to the quote ie he didn't use the original hardware, used his so he could charge extra $10, then he charged $15 for gas ??. Joe mounted the curtain rods wrong, when I pointed out the mistake he corrected one but not the 2nd rod because he needed to go. He then emailed me an invoice which was not what we agreed. When I asked him if that was the mistake he immediately started to verbally abuse me telling me I was ripping him off. I just pointed out a mistake. It was not possible to have a calm conversation with Joe, in the end I paid what we agreed over the phone. Joe is a lousy handyman, and a poor businessman. Avoid at any cost!On the positive side the curtains are up.Update: Response to Joe to his comment.If as a businessman you can't eloquently and professionally respond to my comment but put the blame solely on me, you just proved my above points. Thank you!

Joe did a number of small jobs around our home that had been on my to do list for years. He successfully fixed a number of doors that were coming off the hinges by using parts found around the home and installed sliding doors in the pantry. I was beyond thrilled. He was amazing to work with, incredibly responsive and very reasonable. I would not hesitate to recommend him for any jobs around your home.

Had a badly damaged front door frame. Thought about calling a big box home reno type store. Then thought about the extra cost I'd be getting dinged with the extra middle man. Joe came same day and got the job done at what I consider a fair price.Thanks Joe!

Joe is a top notch contractor. Honest, friendly, hard working and a pleasure to welcome into your home. He installed a very large set of double doors on a closet that previously had much smaller doors. We couldn't be happier with the result. He left the job site immaculate too. I called hoping to have a ramp installed into the garage and much to my surprise and delight Joe answered his phone, came to see the job requirement and was able to do the job 48 hours later. We are most pleased with the result. The ramp is the ideal slope, the side rails are sturdy and the overall appearance is good.Joe takes pride in his workmanship and it is evident in his attention to detail. Communication is a priority in reaching a common understanding and we worked well together to clarify the project. He is professional and personable and we would call on him again as well as share his name with others.
