Horizon Motel

Stayed for 7 nights, very noisy due to excessive partying in the next room. Was only asked once if I needed clean towels, then charged me 20 dollars for dirty towels when I checked out!!!

The price was low, so I didn't expect much. Has all the amenities nearby. I would suggest using a cleaner other than Pinesol though, when you first walk into your room you get punched in the face by the scent of pinesol. Had to air out my room.

Friendly staff, CHEAP rates and good location. Looks like they are trying to keep things updated, looks like they changed to all new mattresses were installed.Cleanliness is lacking for sure, just refer to pictures posted. For the price, if you’ve travelled beyond the comfort of your home a lot, there is definitely worse places around.Definitely get the road noise from Highway 2 (St.Albert Trail) otherwise nice place to stay on a budget.Can’t emphasize enough that the cleanliness just wasn’t there for our stay. Dust, smeared mirrors and dirty bathroom. Furniture and decor is definitely dated but functional.

Good motel, free pet beetles under the bed and fridge, sometimes if you poo it floats back up to the toilet, the suspicious looking water stain, broken(in both ways) outlit and loud clunky dust blowing air conditioner really brings this place together. Asides from that, not to bad for a motel

cant speak as to how the staff act or anything. but can speak to the conversation with the owner about employment and how it went. applied for a position listed on job bank/indeed, waited a bit to hear back as proper and would have to relocate etc if worked out. called to follow up , and am quite happy that they hired someone else. was berated for calling to follow up and that they hired someone (thats fine) already, just wanted to know etc . the amount of rudeness behind the call. and it was rude why this owner/operator even has a business that deals with the public and treat potential employees this way is crazy. then i look at the google reviews(grain of salt) but i see it . please dont support this business unless desperate . its 2023 not 1982 . customer service matters !!!!!!!!

Wow staff was really nice, but the place isn't somewhere where I would like to stay. The room we were going to stay in had a no smoking sign outside the door but when I walked in the room all I could smell was old cigarettes. The table table looked like it had been glued together. The price wasn't bad, but I needs some major TLC

It's quiet please don't leave much bugs. You somewhat clean, but kind of grungy and cheap.

GREAT PLACE! The lady at the office is so friendly and lovely and made me feel welcomed. The room itself was cute and quaint, but whooo boy do they really douse it in pinesol! I'd recommend opening your window to air out the room when you check in. The room was also nice and clean and they took very well care of it. The bed was also super comfy. Would definitely come back here in the future.

Stayed a few nights, hottest days in Edmonton let alone Canada! I asked the staff to fix the air conditioning but nothing was fixed, we went to get a fan of our own to help out. I like to support the trying locals.. I went to pay for another night until my property was ready, they charge 91.00 a night and you can get fully updated new rooms with air conditioning for 8 dollars more next door! I waited for a room to open up but we decided to stay in Edmonton at the comfort inn! Pet friendly and fully renovated!! Air conditioning works perfectly! For 75.00!! The BIGGEST reason I left was because the lady who manages the property was having a bad morning! She decided to take it out on me for asking for towels! She was looking to pick a fight over my animals for no reason! She even hit the COVID plexiglass as if to want to hit me! Every thing is recorded so I hope the owner reviews her unprofessional conduct! I cleaned the room myself otherwise my deposit wouldn’t be returned! She told me not come back! Her attitude is just as bad as the rooms! Go elsewhere! Shame on you lady!

Room were very clean and friendly staff. It beats those high class hotels. Great Price. Nice to park right in front of my room.
