Absolutely love backstage hair! The only hair salon I trust for all my hair needs. The staff is so friendly and welcoming it makes for such an enjoyable experience!Fiona is a hair goddess who always goes above and beyond to make sure you leave looking fabulous! She always pays attention to my hair needs and I absolutely love her!I had my wedding party come in the morning of our wedding and they worked so fast and our hair lasted all day! I would recommend them for all your hair needs.

Back Stage Hair is the best salon! I’ve been going there for years now. I love going because of the professionalism, everyone’s always so friendly, it’s always so clean and they make you feel so comfortable. I started going here when my stylist Fiona moved salons, so I followed her!Fiona is literally THE BEST!! She does amazing colour, cuts and styles. I trust her 100% with my hair and value her opinion. She knew exactly what colour I wanted for my wedding day so she helped me plan out my appointments so that we could reach my ideal hair colour. She styled my hair for my wedding and it was perfect! I totally recommend Back Stage Hair, Fiona and everyone else in the salon!

From an encounter with an employee about parking space it is clear this place does not care for genuine common courtesy. I had parked on their side by mistake to grab my 3 year son ice cream in what I thought was shared parking space. She came into the ice cream store yelling. I explained to her its just my turn and I will move the car in less than 5 mins. She said no it must be moved right now. There wasn't even anyone from the salon waiting for the spot. So I had to drag my child crying out of the ice cream store. Wait for parking to be available on the other side and go back. All of this in 30+ temperature and while I am 8.5 months pregnant.

everything about Backstage Hair Design is ELITE - Family owned business and every stylist is so friendly(and talented!) called last minute and Joe Fuina was able to accommodate all my hair care needs! I love that it’s located in a heritage building, featuring some beautiful stain glass windows; original structure with a clean, modern aesthetic! 10/10 would recommend Backstage Hair for ANY of your Colour/Styling needs for this new year!

Horrible service, with a horrible lady with an attitude. She was very rude to me the entire appointment. Very confusing parking situation. And I am completely unsatisfied with my hair colour and cut. No wonder they call this place backstage hair, now that I have this hair I never want to come ON STAGE. I will be remaining back stage from now on. I hope they do something about the stuck up employee’s attitude.

Amazing salon! Joe and Nunzio are simply the best in the business! The salon is gorgeous and very comfortable and clean. Every one is very friendly and personable. They don’t take all day, so your in and out with a fresh new style, ready to go! Love them!

Loved the service and people too. I always get appointments with Joe he is perfect in what ever he do. He always gives good advice for my hair.Its my permanent place. ❤️

I took my 85 year old mother here for a haircut that she was badly in need of recently. The staff were all amazing and welcoming right from the start. I was allowed to stay with my mom in the salon, no problem. They were very courteous and patient with her as her mobility is a bit of a challenge. Joe cut and dried her hair, he was very patient and listened to how she wanted it done, and then he delivered exactly what she asked for. Sometimes going into salons can make you feel like you don't belong there, and I wasn't really sure how this would work out (as sometimes these places aren't interested in a little old lady haircut) - but this place was wonderful, welcoming, and I would definitely recommend using them! We will be back when Mom needs her hair taken care of again :)

Just called for a root touch up and blowout. The woman who answered the phone was unnecessarily aggressive. She asked for a Visa card to hold my appointment saying that I had a no show in September. I had only ever been to Nunzio one other time as I explained to her and she said this is a new policy apparently only for me. I said I’m not comfortable leaving my credit card information. Very sad that a long time business in Markham would treat a new client that way. I guess my business isn’t valued there.
