Dnister Ukrainian Store
Really disappointed with level of service here, especially considering fact that this store represents my home country. Staff should be more polite to their customers.

Loved it! Groceries from my country - amazing! Prices are kinda high, though. Other than that, I was happy to shop here!

I visited this market in 2014 on a college trip from the UK and stopped here for some food as it looked so good. Had a delicious meat patty / burger and some tasty chicken / meat wrap. I often think about the nice food I had, especially during this past week. Hope to one day visit again if ever in Canada.

Pretty certain I was scammed by the two young women at the cash register. Went in to get a bag of buckwheat. There were no price tags. Took it to the cash register and was told $10! This is a ludicrous price for buckwheat and i regularly buy it much cheaper elsewhere. They didn't scan the item or punch it into the cash register. They just pocketed the cash and didn't even provide a receipt. I needed the buckwheat so I paid and left. But, I won't be back

I visited the market in September 2022. I lived in Pittsburgh and had tried a lot of Polish perogies here. So, when I saw their poster about homemade Ukrainian perogies, I really wanted to see the differences between them. The owner gave me a piece of homemade sausage they had on the counter that I don’t know the name. I really liked it. Then I ordered the hot perogies and sausage. They also gave me the sour cream to eat with the perogies. The perogies are in perfect size. Wonderful combination!

Was a regular here when I lived in the area. Make sure you try their homemade sausage. It's excellent! The cured meat selection is great as well. Plenty of other dishes that remind me of home cooked meals by my grandmother. The staff is always friendly and happy to recommend something if you're unsure or unfamiliar with the products.

When I walked in, there was no price tags.I still decided to believe this store n I really regret it.I bought some usual stuff like meat, garner grecha and some sweets. Then I found out that prices in that store are 2-3x higher that in other russian/ukrainian stores.I got scammed.Don’t go to this store

Scammers. I normally buy the same Ukrainian products so I have an idea of how much it would cost. This time my purchase was $18 instead of the usual 11-12 at the other stores (like Starsky or Future bakery). I still bought it because I just wanted the product and wasn’t feeling like driving somewhere else. Little I knew it cost less than 18! The girl at the checkout just made that price up as at the box there was a price sticker saying $16. Such a shame, this store has nothing Ukrainian in it. It’s not worthy. Beware and please bring your money elsewhere.
