The best seafood chowder soup in Ottawa.Shrimp pad Thai was so delicious. Try Tuque beer.

Flipper's Seafood Restaurant
Rare seafood restaurant in Ottawa. Upstairs in quirky but cosy dining room. Not very visible or well-advertised from the street so usually not very busy. Fish is well-prepared and served with both vegetable and starch. Nice variety. Service was excellent from lovely young lady.

Flipper's Seafood Restaurant
We have been coming here for approximately 30 years. The quality of the food and the service has always been exceptional.We had the spring rolls as an appetizer, Thai curried shrimp and the jumbo garlic shrimps for our main. Everything was fresh and very tasty.It’s rare that we see a restaurant maintain such a level of quality for decades.Highly recommended.

Our first time in this restaurant - tried the breakfast menu - was expecting larger portions but we did receive free banana bread slices and the food was enjoyable - service was friendly - parking challenging and washrooms difficult to access in basement.

Exceptionally delicious fish and chips! I REALLY enjoyed the calamari and I absolutely had to take home some strawberry rhubarb crumble pie! I am still so full, I haven't tried the pie yet, but, man, good food, good atmosphere and Kie was an awesome waitress!

Lovely restaurant in terms of staff and ambience. We tried a large number of menu items and ironically the best item was the steak from surf and turf. Ironic in a sea food restaurant. The fish in fish and chips was hollow batter without much filling - chips were average. Calamari- was not as fresh as the restaurant Vons downstairs. - it all became the average you would expect from a chain restaurant and certainly not from a fish restaurant.I have read the other reviews but cannot say it was our experience. Not one to repeat

Flipper's Seafood Restaurant
The food was decent but one of our orders of linguine was salty and oily, the other 2 were good. The portions are smaller specially in the appetizers, so don't order them to share as a larger group. The picture of the calamari was after no more then 10 were taken off the plate. The salmon was beautifully cooked with what looked to be hand cut sweet potato and I should say that the pasta seafood was generous.Service was a little slow but it was a holiday and it was semi busy.

We visited for a family dinner. The menu was extensive and the range of fish was great. The garlic shrimp is unbelievable and the calamari was excellent.Unfortunately, our server seemed to be very agitated or not really happy about having to serve us. He was quite nice with the other patrons but not too sure what his issue was with us.His demeanour took away from what could have been a lovely experience

We ate at Von's downstairs from Flipper's and had a superb evening. Try it is all that needs to be said, I don't think you will be disappointed.
