Fantastic park with a great little groomed beach. Excellent playground for the kids. Located in the heart of Lakefield. Get your pizza delivered to the gate.Family oriented with lots to do in and around town. You can set up a tent for the weekend or haul your trailer in for the season. Something for everyone. Very reasonable for the year and they have a dock for your boat on site! This is our 4th season and we won't be leaving anytime soon!

We have been visiting this site for the last 5 years and 2016 was one of our worst years at this campground. We were mistreated and disrespected by the admin and seasonal visitors that were there. Every thing that we did was pin pointed, we were told that we couldn't do so many things even though others were doing just that. Admin kept visiting our site for no reason at all and giving us information that we already know. At one point I felt overstepped because we are coloured people. We were told to come back after a few hours to take a shower because there seasonal visitors who took regular showers at that specific time.

Booked a site here by checking out the photos provided on their website. It was NOTHING alike the photos when we arrived. On my confirmation email it showed checkin time was 3pm and checkout was 11am. When we arrived at 3:45pm to set up, the person front the night prior was still set up on our site. I drove the rv up to the office to ask what the situation was and all I got was “give them 5 minutes”. I figured sure we will wait, more like 20 minutes, nevertheless they moved off the site only for us to find there was a very un level site waiting for us. Not even an ounce of gravel for the rv to park on and just trashy looking. I pulled in, looked at it, and said we are not staying here!We went up to the front for a refund and was greeting with arms going up and down and head shaking. Sorry but your campsite is a dump and I will never recommend nor will return. I lost $7 in the matter and about 3 hours of my time I’ll never get back.Do not recommend this Hoarder campsite to anyone. Much nicer ones out there in the area with a lot less attitude!

We paid 52 dollars for a patch of dirt to pitch our tent, sandwiched between two other sites with no privacy at all. We were also owed 5 dollars on arrival according to their own online reservation system, which we did not get.Would not recommend for people looking for a tent spot for the night, might be fine if you have an rv or trailer.I expected much more for the price. Grass, maybe some trees between sites and some space to allow for some privacy. We could hear everything our neighbors were saying and were kept up when trying to sleep. Our neigbour also had parked their vehicle right beside our fire ring, so we would not be able to have a fire if we wanted to. They did not offer to move or even acknowledge us when we arrived late at 7 pm.Did not feel safe or comfortablr during our stay.

Clean but that doesn’t matter. As a young group we where very quiet and respectful with no issues but the lady who works there was very rude and disrespectful for no reason! Will not be returning as it ruins your stay to have such negativity coming from a supervisor.

Group of 6 went to camping here and it was very small space for 6 tents, not propery maintained the area, some of tree branches so low and accident prone to small kids /adults.Washrooms are dirty and not cleaned.I do not recommend tent area for any families.

I absolutely LOVE this place. Super friendly people. Very well maintained and managed. Awesome walking, biking trails. Great for kayaking, boating, fishing. 5 minutes to walk into Lakefield Village which offers all amenities! Also wonderful news that the council voted to allow the campground to continue operating and people can continue to enjoy the experience and outdoors.

My issue is that you don't let transients camp just seasonals. Open for the public not exactly
