Henry is such a great counsellor! We can not express our gratitude for how he's helped us over the years! He's intuitive, caring, thorough and very professional!

Terrible therapist. Takes sides and plays favorites. This so-called marriage therapist contradicted a diagnoses only a psychologist or psychiatrist can make, argued about cultural differences, and although he was being paid for marriage counselling, he was giving my then spouse numbers for divorce lawyers on the side. I can't begin to strongly enough warn anyone against hiring this man. I have since had the pleasure of knowing many other therapists in Kelowna through a personal relationship, and let's just say, my concerns with Sawatzky's tactics are well placed.

Henry is an incredible couples' therapist... I am a couples' therapist myself and am very picky. Through the years my husband and I have seen several therapists - but Henry is in a league of his own - he is a PHENOMENAL therapist and I say that both as a client and as a fellow therapist who understands the theory of what he is doing (part of me feels like i am always sitting back and just learning from him as a therapist when we are in session together). Henry knows how to make safe spaces for people and knows how to use his care to help people heal and change. In the last year I have recommended over 20 couples to him, and though he has a waitlist, those that get in to see him have been equally blown away - we always joke we should have an i love henry club". Our marriage was good before

Contacting and attempting to contract with this service was a very disappointing experience. Henry didn't even listen properly to information I shared with him and then allowed one of his colleagues contact my 'ex' via email, without my permission. The whole experience was a bit traumatizing because my 'ex' and I were in a very delicate phase of our relationship and I feel this set of exchanges have set us back, quite unnecessarily, due to incompetence. I did not hire them and this feedback is based entirely upon how the counselor behaved prior to any actual 'counseling'.

Extremely disappointed with Henry's couples therapy services. This the first bad review I have ever given but I felt very strongly about this. I agree 100% with G K's review in that he is completely bias. He doesn't seem to understand the importance of basic issues in relationships such as trust. Henry seemed charmed by my wife and did not want to question her on anything and at times seemed to speak for her and provide answers for her to tough questions. I had to ask Henry for some sort of plan or objective and he still struggled with this. He suggested that I move out of the house but had no plan after that to get our relationship moving in the right direction. We were initially using Henry for both couples therapy and individual therapy which was a bad idea. Henry is a nice guy but he only made things worse in our relationship. Henry's tactics are affecting peoples lives, sometimes in a negative way, and he needs to address this. I sent Henry an email expressing my concerns and I also sent him this review before I put it online and he never responded...you can read into that however you like.

We are finding the emotionally focus couples therapy so helpful . Helga has grit and grace and is really helping us deal with a tough situation. I have read the bad reviews and that has not been our experience in any way. The environment is comfortable, both of our needs are being addressed as we do the therapy. Thankyou!

Saw Henry a few years back and cannot express my gratitude for how he helped me. I can see why some bad reviews are here, because Henry is real. There is no fluff. I needed this and he gave me the guidance and peace to move forward, out of a very toxic marriage. 5 years later I think back on him so fondly and being instrumental in my healing and moving forward to a more healthy me.
