Grand Forks Inn

We stayed here for 2 nights, along with many other wedding guests. When we booked we were told that a group rate would be offered, due to the high the high volume of these guests , this did not happen. Our room was never cleaned and no fresh towels were provided, I called the front desk to ask why and she hung up on me. The Continental breakfast they offer consists of boiled eggs (staying warm in a crockpot) wonderbread, yogurt and some basic fruit. Would not recommend this Inn, nor will I ever stay there again.

Easy to find. Good clean rooms. Staff friendly and helpful.

Clean comfortable basic room. Appreciated finding a pet friendly location. Continental breakfast offered.

I have live and stayed at a lot of hotels and got to say pretty clean, very soft beds and staff are so friendly

The fridge still had food in it from the last tenent. Room was otherwise clean and dry.

Room was clean. AC worked. Bathroom small but functional. Bed was good. Ok supply of towels which always seem smaller and rougher than you get in the US. Had Keurig coffee maker..ugh. Polluting and terrible coffee. Can't make own teas etc. Basic continental breakfast, too many sugary options for my taste but at least fresh fruit. Now the real issue: they have a policy of a pre-authorization that is 1. excessive IMO at more than double the nightly room rate and 2. difficult to remove. I have had a charge pending on my Visa for over a full week. Despite claims it was removed it's still there. They claim it's the bank yet I have never had a pre-authorization outstanding this long. It affects available credit folks. Simply unacceptable.

The room we got had a slightly musty smell which I didn't recognize immediately but then I realized it was mould. The floor was really weird when you walked on it, made a LOT of noise, and when you sat on the toilet, it sank into the floor a bit. I then realized that the entire floor was water damaged. (this was on the first floor) Customer service was good at night, but the woman in the morning was not helpful t all with our bill. We were quoted a price for the night before but a pet fee was added on after. The woman was like, well
