Gabie's Boutique Newmarket Dancewear & Gymnastics

I cannot rate this place highly enough- the staff are so helpful and knowledgeable and lovely to deal with!

We had a horrible experience at Gabie's and we will not be returning. I sent my husband to pick a garment bag up and he got the wrong size. He misplaced the bill but when I returned the bag, it had the tags on it and I provided my credit card statement. I asked for an exchange for a new bag. The owner offered me 50 percent of the price of the bag. I explained how ridiculous this was since I provided proof of the date and amount of purchase but they refused. The bag was $25 and it was less than two weeks later. They were rude and condescending. I have two daughters in competitive dance and they lost hundreds of dollars in future revenue. They need to reconsider how they treat customers. Since then, I have found a store called Sequins Plus in Oshawa. I couldn't believe that the same product (a crop top) that was 40 dollars at Gaby's sells for 17.99 at Sequins. It is worth the drive if you have a few things you need to pick up. This is the first review I have ever written but I thought it was important. Parents of dancers spend hundreds of dollars on dance supplies each year and you want your money going to reputable businesses.

We visited Gabie’s Boutique in August 2022 for our daughter’s very first pointe shoe fitting. The staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The fitting specialist was very focused on our daughter’s wants and needs and was attentive to her and us the whole time and told us everything we needed to know. We were extremely happy with our decision to go to Gabie’s for her first pointe shoes. She is loving her first year en pointe and loving her pointe shoes she got at Gabie’s. Thank-you!

Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. My daughter was so excited that someone listened to her about how the tap shoe was fitting and then found a shoe that worked perfectly!

Please consider where you get pointe shoes fitted as I would say, stay away from Gabie's Boutique in Newmarket. They call themselves experts" in fitting pointe shoes

Very good Dancewear store for young adult, teenage and girl, not franchise owned, they do custom made Leotard for your dance needs.Only downside for this store is they are focusing their merchandise on younger dancers, not alot Adult wear ready to shop.

My girls and I LOVE going to gabies! The staff always helps us find exactly what we need and are so kind and inviting! We love all the new things we find every time we go. We have bought ballet, jazz and gymnastics clothes/shoes and they are always great quality and so so so cute! If you have a little one in dance or gymnastics I highly suggest you check it out! You won’t be disappointed!

Horrible experience with pointe shoes fitting and recommendations. Stay clear of this place and go to a professional establishment like national Ballet!

This place is awesome and should have a much higher rating.My daughter is starting dance and needed a uniform and had this spot recommended. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by genuine friendliness and helpfulness. She asked what we were looking for and we have her the list. She brought us through the store making excellent recommendations. We then went on to the lady who helped us with shoes who was tremendously helpful. The cashier was also equally friendly and helpful. Overall a great experience from a people perspective.Only thing that stung a little was I was recommended a pair of shoes on clearance and she told us numerous times that they were ten bucks. Didn't notice with the other stuff being rung up at the cashier that they were actually 25, not 10. I'm not driving 40 mins back there for 15 bucks so I'm forced to just eat it.The place really is great and I'm sure this was just an accident.Edit: I got in touch with Gabies and they were fantastic about taking care of the billing error. All is resolved. This place is great.
