Capitol Security

We are generally happy with the product but did/do have a couple of concerns. The system is turning on our air conditioner without us programming this, we have it on heat at 22c but periodically the air conditioner kicks in and reduces the temperature. We have requested assistance but have been told this may take around three days.We have found the switch over process quite complicated, Vivint, Telus, Stanley and Capitol, names that left us unsure of who was who. A rep from Calgary did contact me and helped clear up some of the concerns. I have sent the letter of cancellation off to Vivint and my understanding is that I will not have to pay Vivint on the remainder of my contract, that this will be taken care of by you.Overall we are looking forward to our new partnership.Thank you

Was having issues with their service after the first few days (eg. garage opening by itself at random), called to have the issues fixed but they waited til a day after the 10-day cancelation period to send someone. Still wasn't happy and asked to cancel, so they emailed me saying I can pay them the $3000 cancelation fee or see them in Court. Not a company that cares about your security.

This company has been a horrible experience. There were so many issues with my account there is not enough room to write about all of them. Most notably, I was locked out of my own house with my toddler because of their administrative error, and the admin office closes at 5pm on weekdays and on weekends so there was no one who could help us. I called the alarm event line and waited on hold for 45 minutes only to be hung up on. Could you imagine if it were a more severe emergency.I finally was able to cancel my contract and they continued to bill me for months after cancellation without answering my calls or emails. It took 3 months to get refunded. I finally got that refunded, only to find out they have sold my information to Telus/ADT and now I am getting collection calls from a company I did not sign up with, again due to their error and I have spent countless hours on hold trying to rectify. Six months after I cancelled and I am still being impacted by this company's errors. Look past the promises on signup. Avoid.

They helped me switch from my previous provider, and it’s extremely convenient that they are local. When something needs attention, they are there right away and don’t fight their clients about issues.

From the people I booked the install with to the installer Eric I was very by pleased with the professionalism.Eric explained everything to me all the while he was installing and even went back to the shop to get the certificate I needed . I was very pleased with this company and would recommend them

DO NOT SIGN UP. FIRST LITTLE WHILE WITH CAPITOL IS HORRIBLE, AFTER THAT IT GETS WORSE!!!! WITH SECURITAS (STANLEY SECURITY)Absolutely do not go with this company. Horrible customer service, delayed responses, ignored emails/ phone calls. Several other mishaps over the years. Can’t wait to be finished with them. Originally we started out with Capitol, it then switched to another company (NOX security) and finally Stanley Security. Apparently you sign up with Capitol Security and after a year you deal with Stanley. Incredibly irritating to deal with either of them. Terrible communication between Capitol security and Stanley. When they switched billing between companies they messed up pretty bad, luckily I was given back the money they overcharged. Both are two thumbs down. Save yourself the time, money and headache. Look into others companies.
