Free live folk, rock and Celtic music. Rotating artists. Decent beer selection and okay value. Better than Main Street costs and much better than downtown.

I recently went to the pub to here a friend’s folk group play on a weekend night. Was glad I reserved on their site as it was busy. It’s a good old pub in every way. Pub decor, loud chatting, and good but standard pub food. I enjoyed my chicken pot pie and half and half salad and fries. We had to eat a while for the food, but when it arrived it was warm and fresh. Friend had the fish and chips, last and pepper wings, and a large stack burger. We all agreed it was “good”. So not a racing food review, but as a fun pub on a Friday night, they delivered.

Love love loveee the live Irish folk music on Sundays and Mondays! It's a great place to be. Lovely staff, great service, good prices on food and good portions. The chicken strips are no joke -- you get 5 very reasonable pieces with fries on the side. Looking forward to visiting with friends or with my family again

The Wolf and Hound is a great place to grab a pint after a long day of work, the life and live music of the place makes it all the more special. They’ve got a good selection on tap, and a fine taste in music. It isn’t so loud so you can still converse during meetings, certainly one of the best pubs I’ve been to in town.

Great little Irish pub that a friend and I stopped by for dinner at. Got a good menu for pub food, both the pot pie and Mac & cheese were great choices. They don't have mocktails which was a little disappointing but 7 Up on tap is always a bonus!

Sad fall from grace for the W+H. Been coming here for a very long time (>10 years), spent some of my wedding day in here.Canada Day lunch: Service was 15 minutes even to notice us after being seated. Other than two groups of dungeons & dragons, the place was empty. One server, no manager or responsible person, no support for the server. The food (1xchicken tenders for the kids, one chicken sandwich and one green salad took 45 minutes to show up). The chicken salad was OK for $14.50 (plus $7 for the chicken) - the rest suited the two kids. However, when finished and ready to leave we tried to explain to the server our disappointment. She reached out to the only other person (the chef) to support her. We explained the tardiness and the lack of chicken in the chicken salad. The chef explained it was a 4oz chicken breast. You can see from the photo, even 2oz would be flattering. He still continued to argue with me. Fundamentally, it was the lack of issue and concern and the argumentative angle that upset me most. We were calm and were trying to pass on our advice, but this was met with ambivalence and a degree of irritation with us, the customers. It is sad for me to have to say after 10 years, I cannot come back with my family. Whether the pub has changed hands or not, a special Canada Day lunch was pretty disappointing.In response to your response (05-Jul-23):Brian,Thank you for investigating.A refund is not what I wish on this occasion. I wanted to pass on my experience to you, with a hope it may be acknowledged and used to ensure other customer's do not experience the same that we did.I have visited the W&H endless times on a Saturday lunchtime with my children and understand the way the pub works. It's just on this occasion, it was not consistent with our (many) prior visits. We were told by the attendant to sit where we liked, so we chose the window seat and kindly asked if we could place two tables together, which she said would be no problem. This does not line up with your advice.So I'll not accept your refund as that would not appeal to me on this occasion. I would prefer that we do not bother you or your team again.Regards,Brendan

Service was above and beyond & the menu will have us coming back for more. So many interesting choices.Server offered up the option of half a serving of fries AND a half serving of fries - both of which were delicious. Food was outstanding, service was delightful.Highly recommend!

One of the few pubs in the area. Stout on tap and lots of 'Glen' malts are standard. Outside patio seating is a nice touch. Also probably the first and only place that still has actual live music now. Clean washrooms and nice cozy ambience with well spaced tables. Nice little nooks and corners for dates and quiet conversation.Food was pretty normal, quite expensive even for Kits/WPG. Literally the tiniest bruschetta I've ever had, and the server didn't agree to substitute the goat cheese for any other one. Also they mentioned 10pm as the closing time on here and also outside the door, but several people were turned away beginning 8.30pm itself. I would have ordered more but didn't feel like it was a good idea to continue the evening here.Perhaps will repeat on a live music evening, probably with different servers and then see if a higher star rating is in order.

My partner and I have been to this pub many times and it’s the best of its kind in the city. Besides the cozy atmosphere, great selection and incredibly friendly waitstaff, it also hosts cool events and serves a proper Irish spice bag. Highly recommended!

Wonderful Irish style pub with great food, friendly staff, and good music. The food is quite affordable with huge portion sizes, the chicken strips are absolutely to die for- enough to share between two. Totally recommend.
