We brought Book A Drone in to do the drone work for my STORYHIVE short film, When I’m Dead. When I hired him, I knew he had the right professional drone to compliment the footage from our other camera. While we were working, however, I realized quickly that it wasn’t just the drone that was going to make a difference, it was the drone operator. Carey heard what I was asking for and then gave me more than I ever hoped to expect. He knew the story of the film and the reason we were doing the drone shots, and he piloted with artistry that was over and above what I expected. There are lots of drone operators out there, but Carey uses his extensive understanding of cinematography to create aerial shots that are sensitive and breathtaking. I will absolutely use his services in the future.
