Customer service from Stanley goes above and beyond what you can get at a big-box retailer or Amazon. Booked a same-day showcase appointment of the floor chairs. Stanley gave excellent and thorough information about the models I was interested in, was able to make recommendations based on my needs, and made me feel super at ease in the gorgeously decorated space (right in the heart of Kensington Market!). It's clear from how he talks about his business, zaisu, and tatami that he cares about what he does. Another plus: arranged same-afternoon delivery to my home in a pinch. WOW. Would happily order from them again!

Excellent shop carrying hard-to-find Japanese furniture. Stanley tries his utmost to ensure a customer is happy and satisfied. I purchased a zaisu here and have ultimately been pleased with my decision. Recommended.

Great authentic Japanese products, and great customer service. I have been very satisfied with my futon bed and bamboo table and chairs. The bed is so comfortable and it has greatly improved my quality of sleep. Stanley, the owner/salesman, is very friendly and he will make sure that you are comfortable with everything before buying.

Stanley is an absolutely stellar guy who makes you feel very welcomed in his shop - he knows what he's talking about, he doesn't try to upsell you anything, and he offers a very quality product to boot.Don't go with knockoff tatami mats - they may cost less, but they're made with chemicals and won't last. With Stanley, you absolutely get what you pay for, and the tatami mats he offers are the real deal that will last a lifetime if treated right.

I want to buy a Kotatsu table today and ask Stanley. Unfortunately, they don’t sell that. However Stanley gives me lots of helpful suggestions and kindly reminders. I never went there before, but I think if the owner is so friendly and kind, the products would not be bad. Perfect experience. I will definitely go there if I need tatami in the future. :)

Good customer service from Stanley! He didn't mind if I tried lying on the Shikibuton so as to make sure that I wouldn't regret after deciding to buy it. And detailed explanation of the material and the way of maintenance. Highly recommend it!

I ordered a shikibuton, and the experience was great. It shipped quickly and in perfect condition. I've been sleeping on it for the past 2 months, and I wouldn't go back to a regular mattress.I would definitely shop here again for their other products!
