SARA SOCIETY Save Animals through Rescue and Adoption

Donna was amazing to work with. She was constantly communicating with me. She kept me in the loop on who are the potential new owners, where they are located and what kind of experience they have with dogs. She also assured me that she will be checking on Diesel(my big baby rottwieler) and the foster parent to make sure they are perfect match. It was a very sad moment of my life to have to let go of Diesel, but I have no regrets of leaving Diesel in Donna's hands.

Fantastic company that is no-kill, and run by one woman who dedicates her life to the health and welfare of stray and abandoned cats and dogs

The fact that the reviews are lower has made me want to write this one, do not let the reviews fool you.I had to give up my dog due to moving and life changes, but Donna took in my darling dog and found her a proper home where she can be truly happy. She did this within a day of messaging, and her responses made me feel very calm about my darling being re-homed. My dog was deaf, so Donna made sure to look for the perfect family to suit her needs. She is caring and resourceful and makes sure that everyone who adopts an animal is the perfect fit. I am very pleased with the heart of Donna, and it shows she has much experience with animals of all kind. It's heartwarming to know there are places like SARA Society, and I couldn't have been happier to have found my darling dog's new forever home with them

They are desperate enough to showcase their pets on petfinder but are not desperate enough to allow anyone outside of SURREY to adopt them ...when pets are in shelters instead of in a home for weeks and in some cases months...theres a problem ...I hope those who donate to them know this!!..I READ YOUR RESPONSE ...I am not that person...its someone else...We never spoke on the phone so no verbal abuse from me ...I only emailed you last year for a pet that is still there now.... if I verbal abuse you...so show it on photo here....!!!!!!

We would like to thank SARA Society on helping us find our new loving family member Timmy (now called Milo). His playful and uplifting personality constantly lights up the room and therefore, is such an amazing addition to our family. Donna was really helpful and was passionate in taking the time to make sure that Timmy finds the right family. Not to mention, the process was smooth and easy to follow. If anyone is looking to adopt or foster, we would definitely recommend the SARA society! Thank you so much.

They desperately lack manners and compassion towards potential adopting parents. They ask you to write about your family and why you want to adopt and fill out their application and jump through a hundred hoops, then they send you a one-liner, sorry, that pet is not available, go the our website.I’ve reached this organization on two separate occasions to inquire about different animals for adoptions and both times have received this type of careless, useless, impolite response from them.If this is how they treat potential fosters and parents of pets, I would hate to know how they actually treat the animals. So inhumane. Probably just in it to make a quick buck, not to actually help animals in need.DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Sara Society was a life saver. We got ourselves into a situation with a puppy that we weren’t able to keep. It was heartbreaking. Donna helped us by taking the puppy and finding her the perfect home and continued to follow up with me so we could see how the puppy was doing. I highly recommend Donna and Sara Society as she really puts the needs of the animals first. I could see that as soon as I met her.

My parents sent an email telling them about themselves are their home, it was never disclosed whether or not they own their home (they own), but without even asking they responded back disqualifying them from any adoptions saying that home ownership is a requirement. I responded back on my parents behalf advising how upset I was to read that they just disqualified a great couple based on an assumption. They responded back saying that because I was rude for telling them how upset to see they turned down a good family based on an assumption without inquiring further they have completely black listed my parents. What a god awful rescue agency. I thought the purpose of a rescue agency was to try and find these animals loving home. PS I wasn’t rude, I am willing to send copies of the screenshots to anyone that asks. Unfortunately, google reviews doesn’t have a spot for pictures to be attached.

I should also mention that after I posted my review, one of the volunteers went out of her way to let me know how rude I was instead of showing any remorse or attempting to mend the relationship. As well, she violated client confidentiality by posting my name on Facebook.

I had the most wonderful experience with the society, with all the rescues that we have used for all our pets. This society has been the best one hands down. God bless you for your dedication, devotion and true love of all living creatures. ❤
