Very kind and helpful staff. Amazing selection of wood from all over the globe. A little expensive but that's the price you gotta pay for quality. I love going to this place!

Today I came to exotic early to get some white oak panels for a project I'm working on. The older man in the back really ruined the day and seemed irritated that I was pulling sheets down to look at grains. This was confirmed when I told him I think I needed 3/4 white oak that happened to be under some other sheets. With a terrible tone he said he wasn't pulling em cause if I'm just standing around "kicking tires" he wasnt going to do it. Great service pal. Prior to this I was dealing with a young guy who was very helpful but he got pulled away

My first visit to this store and I was overwhelmed! If you love the smell of fresh cut wood, and all exotic types, you've found heaven here! Andy was very helpful and their cutting services will come in handy for a project I'm working on! Can't wait for my second visit! P-) thx again!

Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable people here and mind-blowing selection of beautiful wood species. I cant believe it took me this long to make the trip.

Really nice store for wood working projects. As someone who is just starting to learn, the staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They were able to help me plan out my small project. Great experience overall!

Came to this store based on a friends recommendation. I believe that there are more then a few new employees as from the 3 times i was there my papers where constantly misplaced, followed by a charge for a replacement stain that was given to me for free (this was resolved the same day by the manager and i was given a refund).This review is mostly for the color matching specialist that was advertised to me as a professional and their color specialist. Hayley from Little Foot Creative, from the very beginning i should have just done my own color matching it probably would of been better result. But because i have not worked with their stains i paid for the service. I have a custom staircase with 17 steps that needed to be matched to the new engineered flooring that where recently stalled in my house.Anyway with 2 months of waiting for the color match and a lot of fluff excuses from Hayley from how she is in school to she shouldn’t check her emails on the phone as she forgets to reply etc I finally get the color match. Once i was ready, i uprooted my family and sent them to another house for 4 days while i worked on sanding then applying the base color. Then when i applied the stain to the first step i realized that something is wrong with the color. Behold i find out that Hayley sent me the wrong color… followed by a bunch of excuses. She did offer me the proper base color at no cost (which i ended up being charged for at the store and same day refunded thankfully). When i brought up that she should also refund me her service, i received more fluff how she travel to and from the store and it covers her expenses. Meanwhile I also travel to and from and I had to move my family for another few days again, plus the cost of some of the needed materials for staining and I had to re-sand 17 steps of my stairs AGAIN because of her negligence.The color is off its a cooler and darker compared to my floor. Honestly I probably would of done a better job of color matching myself.

So many different kinds of wood it'll make your head spin. All the different names and colors. Very affordable for all kinds of product they have, even the live edge.The staff is helpful and asked me if I needed assistance as I perused the store. Very nice.If you're a newbie to wood working and resin work, this is a great place to come and get some basic wood types or something fancy. It is affordable and there is so much to pick from.I suggest if you do go, you look up what you want first. The selection is massive.

I order all our walnut and maple ply from Exotic and I'm very impressed with the service and care I receive each time I order. They're always prompt with communication and every order, because I have it shipped a long distance, they look for ways to save me money which, as a small business owner, I really appreciate. The quality of product has been very good and is seemingly getting better recently. Highly recommended company to work with.

April 2023 5*If you are lover of real wood this is the place to go for. You can find different varieties of woods at the place. Hopefully one is planning 5 trees for cutting one.The staff is very helpful and will guide you correctly. I was thinking to build book showcase myself but gave up the idea after realizing the work required.The shop can grind and laminate woods for you but it can talk couple of weeks to do it. Also they can cut the wood or board to fit into your car but if you are looking for specific sizes, you need to wait for one week minimum.You can also buy oil, colours and other material for your work.

My fist experience waking in the door was very good.Was greeted by atleast 2 people as soon as u entered the building.After browsing for a bit a older guy came up to ask me if I need help and I said I was just looking.He said well then, would you like a tour?He took time to show me the showroom and all the way in the back where the majic happens ( where all the milling is done )Gave me a tour of the room that has all the musical instrument wood.I didn't indicate I was there to buy anything and still got a amazing tour.Today I came back and bought a beautiful large slab of walnut for a bar I am going to build.Thanks guysRussell
