Edworthy Park South Parking Lot

Loved this parking area as the children play area is very next to it. Fun for kids. Great hiking trails in vicinity.

Great Park in Calgary’s SW giving access to miles & miles of River Trails! Like to ride hard on your bicycle?! You can park at this lot then do intervals up the Edworthy Park Hill. (Lots of runners doing them here too!) Better yet, join one of Calgary’s longest ongoing Hammer Rides at the top of the hill, “ITS THE WEDNESDAY NIGHT JAM” ... every Wednesday Night - leaves 6pm sharp! All welcome (many Category 1/2 racers - do you get the idea!)- drop ride ... heading out Old Banff Coach Road - Springbank AirPort & on. Often a 80km ride.

My first visit was a work party. Rained like crazy but the pavilion was covered and we had the time of our lives!!

Lots of nice woodsy trails and of course hear attack hill if you need a fast and furious cardio workout

I am sure it's a very nice park (I never got out of my car) but I drove through almost every parking lot and not a single space available. Cars, bikes and pedestrians everywhere all driving in different directions (not to mention cars boxing other cars in and making some roads unpassable) which felt very disorienting to me. I ended up abandoning ship and fighting feelings of claustrophobia for the next hour.

The parking lot has limited space. You have to get to park on time to get a parking space. I think more parking space should be allocated to park.

Great walking trails and picnic spots.

It is a good place for all families! Here you can find playgrounds. Also here is a place for BBQ. So a nice park for walking, running, and cycling.

You have to visit this park that has everything, picnic areas, playground for kids, river access, tall trees, plenty of paved parking, washrooms, access to hill for hiking, big enough for walk, run or bike, wheelchair accessible, mostly flat. See how it looks in autumn.

Have dog? Should travel here!A beautiful park on the West side of the City. There are many park benches and places to have a BBQ with friends and family.There are great walking paths here as well to work off that big BBQ that you ate. The scenery here is quite different than many other parks in the city. It is quite hilly here and even has an active train track to watch the trains go by (kids love that!).In the Summer there is usually a food truck in the parking area to grab a beverage or meal if you didn't happen to bring one with you.Parking is at the top or at the bottom too, but fills up fast.PRO TIP- Leave early when coming here so that you can get parking by the time you are supposed to be here. Trust me, you'll thank me that you did.
