Foods ok but definitely lacks an atmosphere. Hope the decorating and Reno going to improve the place but I doubt itNow you get your beer and drinks in Mason jars so sinking lower

Excellent halibut and fries. Halibut burger grilled good taste - portion size on burger small. Did not cover the surface of bun and was fairly thin. Would go back without hesitation.

Excellent Customer service and great selection . discovered my favorite wine came in a box ! I have never seen that in any other store . Friendly, comical and happy employees .

I think it is great when in town we go once a week , Annie and Angela are great . They work very hard other restaurants have way more staff and are not as efficient ,as these two girls , 2 for 1 burgers are delicious all homemade as are the fries and portofino bakery buns .

I like this pub in Sooke BC. Especially on Wednesdays when they have the Two burgers with fries or salad for $12.95. They even have great prices for their craft beers. Nice friendly service too.

This place is terrible. Stayed in sooke for a weekend getaway and went to Buffy’s and my boyfriend had to stop the car 3 minutes down the street and throw up. He thought he had food poisining. Please don’t eat here. The staff is nice, but the food is enough to kill you.

Prices for take-out have gotten out of hand and quality has made a sharp downturn. I used to enjoy a burger and fries from Buffy's once or twice a month, then they raised their prices and it became $20 for a burger and fries. I eat there less often now feeling that it is just too expensive, but the last 3 times I have ordered, they have gotten my order wrong and have done a poor job with whatever they did get to me. Charcoal black burgers with lettuce that has turned black inside the burger. Requests for bacon mushroom cheese burger with no tomato, come out of the kitchen as mushroom swiss burger with no swiss and a big ol' hunk of tomato (I'm totally allergic) on top. Now if this was eat in, not a massive problem but when you take your order and you and your family drive out to the park to eat, and your order isn't right, (again... sigh...) It makes you feel pretty warranted in writing a scathing review. We called Buffy's and they offered to remake the food but we were already at the park and my son was off playing so packing up and returning to Buffy's wasn't going to make the evening better, so we declined to return and in return we were told that our names would be left behind the bar and the next time we ordered we'd receive a discount. McDonald's saved the evening out at a fraction of the cost of Buffy's, we got what we ordered, there were no surprises, no drastic swings in quality this visit compared to the last time I was there. To be honest, I don't know if I can be bothered to order from Buffy's again, even at a discount. Thank you to the staff, they were totally nice and professional when we told them we were not happy.

My wife and I went there for a drink one night. It must have been in the middle of renovations.We had a drink as the kitchen was closed. I believe it was just after 9 pm.We weren’t seated at the bar but the amount of flies were unbelievable. The bartender commented that the amount of flies wasn’t bad. If we were sitting on a patio, I would have agreed with her.They definitely need to have their draught lines flushed and cleaned.

Such a great place! Great beer and food. Music... Is a touch early 2000's numetal.. but everything else is perfect

Ordered food for take out. BLT was ok at best. But..they gave me 3 chicken strips instead of 4, as stated on the menu, in both boxes. Two out of three strips were about the size of chicken nuggets or smaller. The lady I spoke with said the owner would call me back after trying to say they buy bigger chicken strips so you only get 3 now (bs). I asked to return the meal they refused and offered 10$ back!? You are in the restaurant business, if your customer orders something and it's wrong or they aren't happy with the food you either replace or refund the entire amount. This place isn't a nice pub, feels like your sitting in a double wide trailer. They could at least give you what is advertised on the menu. Just savage service. Actually ridiculous to point of laughter. If you say 4 strips put 4 in the box not 3, and don't sell people chicken nubs! Just lame. However, 2 stars as the beer is good if it comes out of a bottle.
