Rocky's Ocean Breeze
I was touring Newfoundland by motorcycle last August and visited Salvage on the advice of a co-worker: an expatriate Newfoundlander from Pouch Cove. The place didn't disappoint and the highlight was a stop at Rocky's for a meal. It was perfect; a real gem! The food was the best I'd had during the entire trip; the building itself was a one-of-a-kind jewel; and Rocky was the consummate host! Go visit and stay a while; you'll experience a rare treat!

Good food, friendly ambiance and a fantastic view of Salvage Bay from the deck out back. If you lived here, this would be your local hangout. We liked it so much we went back the next day.

Me, my wife and 3 kids ate here and every one of us were impressed with our meals. 3 of the kids ate everything and that never happens. Our server was a doll. Our food was prepared very quickly. 5 of us ate for approx $60 The owner and server was very nice and were great with the kids. The view on the deck was incredible and we completly fell in love with Salvage. We are staying in Eastport but Salvage is our favorite spot out here for sure :) we will return.

A great guy. The food was great and he is a great entertaining owner. 30 of us arrived and he had us laughing the whole time we were there. The place is a true Road House with the decorations. Everything you can imagine. Thanks Rocky for a great afternoon.

Great place , he let us park on his parking lot overnight in our R V. Let us plug in the RV , gave us fresh water.They serve a delicious cheese burger , we had a very good time at Rocky's. Will definitely be back.

Perfect location with huge, smoke-free patio on the water. Exceptionally good tasting basic fair. Had the egg salad sandwich and the wildberry pudding with rum sauce and both were delicious (way above average).

An absolute delight! What a fantastic find on our adventure. Rocky is a total gentleman with the finest service. Beautiful scenery and the pub interior is blocked full of Newfoundland articles for a fine conversation. The food was delicious and fresh but the atmosphere and super friendly staff make it well worth the drive.

Closed temporarily due to customer complaints of 'being too breezy'. The managers are hard at work sealing all the windows and doors and removing the fans and are renaming to - 'Rocky's Ocean Still Air'.

Food was awesome, service was excellent. And the owner rocky was awesome ! Chips n hot dogs for our little girl on the menu and he gave her a mr freezie at the end. She loved it ! He was super cheery the whole time an always up for a chat. Loved it there an would definitely go back. Deck an view was amazing. 10 outta 10.

Rocky's Ocean Breeze
We tried to go here on a Tuesday afternoon in June (it was a beautiful warm day, perfect for sitting out on a deck) and despite saying they were open Tuesdays there was no one around or a sign saying why they were closed? Too bad because it looked like an awesome spot. There aren't really any other food options nearby, so if you are planning on heading to the area, maybe call ahead first.
