TJ's The Kiddies Store

As new parents to be, we decided to visit the store as things were overwhelming. We were kindly greeted, looked around at the huge selection and were able to ask questions. We couldn’t believe how knowledgeable and friendly the staff was. The staff even stayed late after closing hours to make sure we were completely satisfied. Highly recommended and we will be returning.

Awesome store! Very helpful staff, Violet was a great help and super friendly. She even came out to the parking lot after the sale and took the card board box away for us after we installed our new Diono booster seat. We had searched several stores in Kelowna and no one had stock for the items we were looking for, they wanted us to order online and wait for it to ship out. TJ’s had lots of stock and full shelves. And surprising for a locally owned store they had the same prices as Walmart and Canadian Tire! I will definitely make sure to come back again. Always glad to support a locally owned Canadian company.

Unfortunately, not a fantastic review for TJ's The Kiddies store. I was in need of a high chair and decided to look for one from local baby stores rather then ordering online. TJ's website indicated that the highchair I wanted was in stock so I headed in.Upon entering the store, there was one staff member, sitting at the desk on the computer, I would have assumed a store for mamas with strollers would have a push button to enter and exit but no such luck. The staff member also didn't acknowledge us until I made my way in and said hello first.I made my way to the back where high chairs were merchandised, and looked around for what seemed to be close to ten minutes without anyone asking if I needed help. I seeked out the staff member who was still at the computer to ask if I could be assisted and he was pleasantly able to help.I asked about the chair I had picked out and he unfortunately didn't have very good feedback on the chair and wasn't helpful in any way in answering my questions related to what I wanted to purchase other then telling me most parents don't purchase it because of it's height. Then I was told the item is actually not in store like the website suggested but it's available in the wearhouse and could be shipped to Kelowna in no time. Then the plot thickened as the staff member told me they had just received their shipment so the product would probably be about another two weeks away. I said fair enough and went on to look at other items as I knew I wouldn't be purchasing the highchair at that store. As I was manoeuvring my way through the store I must have hit 3 items on the ground with my stroller... I promise I can walk with a stroller... But the toys laying around everywhere was insane. The store is not tidy at all. So I was unable to move through without colliding with something along the way down the rows. I also stopped to look at some plates for food for my baby. I was very pleasantly surprised to see so many different colours of dishes which always makes it more fun...BUT there was SO much dust and dust bunnies that I couldn't imagine purchasing anything off of that rack. I'm talking the pink plates were literally a different shade when I wiped off to see the actual colour...Please don't get me wrong, I have also worked at a retail store for the better part of my working years. I know it's important to be at your desk doing backend work on the computer. I know it can get tiring to say Hey

There are so many great products in this store, but the best thing about it is the customer service- they are incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable! They helped us choose a car seat that we are very happy with. We have been there a few times, and I am sure we will return. Our daughter loves the shop too!

Chad was so helpful! He was very understanding of all of our concerns regarding picking out a car seat for our first baby. He was knowledgeable and answered every question we had.

We have been buying from TJ’s for the past 2 years and have had nothing but positive experiences. Today we went in to buy 2 new car seats for our kids and Chad went above and beyond to get us into the car seats we were looking for. He and his staff are extremely knowledgeable about the products they carry and they have a huge variety of products to choose from. We make a special trip to Kelowna when we are looking from stuff for our kids because we know TJ’s has such amazing customer service!

We have been in the store before but this is the first time that we went to purchase something for our daughter. She is seven months old and we were looking for bath toys and the new sleep sack. I am very impressed by the quality, quantity and selection of products and brand names. The staff is very knowledgeable, kind and patient. I am not certain who was helping us and chatting with us throughout our shopping experience (she had a lovely European accent I believe if that helps!) Andrea was upstairs doing business related stuff and they were able to give us 15% off our purchases even though the sale wasn’t until the next day. Super friendly and feel comfortable and confident shopping here. We made of list of things we will definitely look for here in the future for our kiddo. Thank you everyone. Great job!

I ordered online for pick up. The whole process was smooth and I got a phone call reminding me to pick up. I didn't notice they were closed on Mondays and the very kind person let me pick up anyhow! I look forward to coming back and exploring the store in person.

Great store! We are preparing for a new addition and this was the only store in kelowna/westkelowna that had cribs in stock, and at reasonable prices. Would highly recommend
