Spirit Halloween

Staff are terrible and it’s a blatant robbery. $72 for a child’s mask and shirt?! Best part was all the other exact same masks and shirts were $20 less but none of the employees know how to override an incorrect code?? The exceptionally rude woman went above and beyond by telling me they’re actually not the same costumes cause one is a medium size and the other is a large… real smart that one. She also was so kind as to leave out there are no refunds or exchanges past Oct 21st. I would advise others to not be as honest as I was and just swap costumes into cheaper priced bags. UPDATE: after emailing their Head office in New Jersey a rep called back and refunded the difference. She was VERY kind and helpful. Front line needs more people like her and less of who is hired at their Vancouver West Broadway location!

I understand helping customers and keeping an eye on them, but there's a line being crossed when it becomes obvious you don't want someone in your store. I understand what you're trying to do and that's fine, I work retail too, but have some tact while doing it. I spend a lot of money here every year but just put everything back and left feeling so uncomfortable from being harassed by a couple employees and glared at by another one. I just wanted to buy a couple things and have a fun time with my friend like we usually do every year.Message recieved guys, I won't be returning.

Clearly there is a dissonance of respectability and merchandise protection between staff and customers. Other customers seem to experience an unpleasant lack of tact when being followed in the store.I’m sure spirit Halloween can afford more respect to it’s paying customers given it’s overpriced nature, but this is only my opinion.Your security should stop following “people of interest” and actually provide services.

Really fun spot to walk through and find costumes or props for Halloween. The prices can be a bit expensive but they offer so much that it’s worth going here to get inspiration for your costume. Closer to Halloween, it starts to empty out a bit so make sure to go early enough.

I went in today to drop some money with my best friend, we spent over an hour being harassed and tailed by the staff. They kept hounding us and staring at us, asking if we needed help every 3 minutes so we couldn’t browse in peace. I understand it’s retail and you’re doing your job, but when 4 staff members are constantly walking circles around us and interrupting us every few minutes, it really makes you feel unwelcome. Will not be returning to this location; these types of aggressive retail tactics are rude and uncalled for. My best friend had an armful of stuff and after the 15th time of being asked if we needed help by the same staff member, she finally looked at me and just put everything on a shelf and we walked out. You guys lost a big sale today because of this, I recommend not judging people if you want customers to come back.

I look forward to visiting Spirit Halloween every year. Each year I find another scary thing for my yard or haunted maze. Last year it was inflatable ghosts which I put on a timer so they would rise from the dead every two minutes. Jacina, the Broadway store manager, is always very helpful and friendly. You can also save money by using coupons or shopping after Halloween for next year.

Hands down the most pathetic Spirit Of Halloween I’ve ever been to. Virtually no stock and everything is drastically overpriced. Don’t waste your time here

My kids were happy. This is the best place to buy your favorite costume for any occassion specially halloween.

Amazing place for anything Halloween! This place has all the current costumes and some random and original ones. Great decorations and effects like smoke and strobe lights. The place is a little pricey but they do have a sale the day after Halloween, the whole store is 25% off. The next day is 50%. The day after that it's gone from what I understand.

The staff has always been helpful and courteous, and their selection of costumes, decorations, and props is incredible. I will go back before the end of the season, and suggest others visit as well. :)
