Compass (Formerly known as Child and Family Centre)

I went in for a parent consultation on a walk-in ( they have them on Tuesday and Thursday). The service was on point !!! The greeting was right away, and I was taken into the meeting swiftly. He spent over a hour talking to me, he took his time to help me and explain things. I did not feel rushed. He really eased my mind. The ladies at the front desk were so polite and informative, even when I called!You guys are providing a excellent service here and I'm beyond grateful!.Thank you

Do not use!!!This organization will do an entire intake with you and then tell you they're calling CAS on you! People come to compass for help and to improve their family situations.. but compass just makes it harder. Plus, there are no in person counseling options outside of Sudbury (outskirt and surrounding towns have nothing).10/10 do not recommend.They are not upfront with their intentions, don't seem to actually care, did not help our situation AT ALL. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Back in 2020 I was very suicidal and the hospital suggested compass. They said it would take me over 6 months to get a counsellor (it actually took 8 months) anyways during that time that I was waiting for a counsellor the people I would talk to would change every time that I would go for my appointments. It was very unhelpful and inconvenient because I would always have to give them a brief story about what is going on. It was annoying that I would have to repeat my issues to different people every time. Like really I was suicidal and I couldn’t get one single person to stick with me for a bit. It always had to be someone else? I was suicidal in the moment I can’t wait 6 months it was an urgent thing.
