Edmonton Public Library - Jasper Place

One of the better libraries in the city. Not too busy, not too noisy, but it's a bit small. Interesting architecture and just the right amount of natural light. A good place to study or work. Bring headphones if you need 100% concentration, but its a nice comfortable public atmosphere with a little bit of background noise. I think I like this library for working more than studying. This library in particular has minimal sound dampening so you can definitely hear conversations across the library.Some reviews mention that it's too noisy and I would agree depending on the time. Fridays during the daytime are nice and quiet.

Call me old fashioned but I believe libraries should be a quiet space. Not silent, I get that its a public space, but parents need to control their children, and staff need to remind parents to do so. Older school children should be reminded by staff to be thoughtful of others. I love a lively library that has a good buzz to it, full of people enjoying being there. . . . But not so loud they ruin the experience for others. I love that there's an outdoor space upstairs, and that there's a quiet room for more serious studying. . . . But its tiny and stuffy, unventilated, and on a damp/rainy day smells milldewy and stale. Nice enough with a lot of potential to be a cozy public/third space for those wanting to study, read, or just relax somewhere quiet that isn't work or home. . . . but as is, it could definitely be better.

It's always good at the Library. Nice clean,quiet, and peaceful.

Such a beautiful spacious building! People can chat without being to distracting to other readers, the upstairs level is awesome to just hang out in.

Pretty big space. Built in similar exquisite architectural design like all other EPL across the city.

The environment is just right to read, and study. Also with your EPL card you can enjoy one hour of internet. If you are learning English you are in the righ place as well.

This library is really nice! The bathrooms are really clean, it's quiet on Sundays and the staff are pretty nice. The windows create a lot of natural lighting. I like it way better than Lois Hole

The library computers work better then my windows 10 labtop to check my emails.

Last week when I was there it was incredibly noisy and crowded, lots of junior high kids. I still managed to find a relatively quiet spot and with ear buds they magically disappeared. Still got some reading done.

The shape of this building is very interesting. As a library it has many books, and interactive learning center for children. It even has a printer if you don't have one at home.
