I highly recommend Harbour City Diesel! I just had diesel injection repairs done on my pickup. They are very knowledgeable, prompt and reasonably priced. I've spent many years in the automotive industry, and it's nice to see a shop who still puts their customers first!

I swapped my truck from a automatic to manual and needed the ecm rewritten and tuned. Two other shops turned me away not knowing how to do it. The owner Malcolm’s experience with diesels showed, as he took care of it quickly and gave me a excellent custom tune to leave with. Also had good phone/email service and got me into the shop quickly from when I first called. Was definitely worth the drive up from South Island, and will get my business again for any work I can’t do myself. Thanks again guys!

Had my head gasket done. There was some issues but Malcolm was good to his word and fixed everything. I would use Harbor Diesel again. They are really knowledgeable about diesels and the service is next to none.

I was charged $250 something just to have our check engine light cleared. They said it would be $160 ish to change the glow plug, but they were unable to change it due to its location. But ended up charging me much more than stated without fixing the issue. They said it’s because a certified mechanic turned off the check engine light. My North Vancouver mechanic later showed me how to turn it off through text, all his tips are free of charge. Going to be hard to find an honest reliable mechanic. I felt it was a rip-off.

The owner agreed to meet with me to show me an outboard motor, I had a busy day but he did not want to set a time to meet with me and said that he would be available whenever I came by his place of business. I went there and for more than 15 minutes while he spoke to other customers and ignored me I waited, unfortunately I had to go to a meeting so I was unable to see the motor he was trying to sell at that time.I reached out to him later and instead of rescheduling a time when he was able to meet he decided to try and tell me that he had reviewed all the video footage of his security cameras and that I wasn't waiting as long as I had been. He was rather unhelpful, unkind and didn't even put any effort into trying to set a time when we could meet for me to view the item he was selling, then unceremoniously blocked me so there was no ability for me to set a new time with him...I guess that's the kind of guy you're dealing with here. Seems to me if you were having any real challenges with your vehicle you might want to have a service provider who is a little more understanding instead of overreacting to a simple situation, poor show guy...
