Budapest Bakeshop Port Dalhousie

My wife and I have been meaning to try Budapest Bakeshop for a while after seeing them on social media. We can't believe we waited so long!We shared a sausage and a Genoa salami sandwich. They were absolutely delicious. The chimney itself is amazing. Crispy on the outside but soft inside. The quality of the meat and toppings were excellent. Everything worked so well on the salami sandwich.The store was clean, staff were friendly and there was a good variety of flavours. We will definitely be back here!

I recently purchased two items that came to be $20.06. I only had a $20 bill (in cash) on me. When it came time for the purchase, the cashier refused to forgive the 6 cents short I was to be. I was surprised that the cashier would not forgive the 6 cents and refused to move further in the purchase (despite only being 6 cents short in cash). In my opinion, this is not the way to properly run a business - the cashier was not understanding of the 6 cents shortage and made me either cancel the transaction or get another item. I was baffled due to the cashier's behavior of refusing to forgive such a little amount, especially since 6 cents is almost negligible and most would forgive such a shortage.

Outstanding place. I had a chimney cake with a spicy goulash remoulade. Very unique and delicious. Highly recommend.

These are truly amazing food items. I can’t fully explain it. These chimney cakes are amazing. Really really amazing. You have got to stop in.

The chimney cake is just amazing and one of our favourite by far. Today we were fortunate enough to also have tried the savoury flavours they have and worth every bite.This particular location is really clean, the staff was very friendly and the attention was great.If you go for the original chimney or with the spread option, you will not regret.We knew the Niagara on the Lake store and today passing by this one we decided to stop and it was a great surprise. This is a must go to everyone who is looking for a sandwich, a desert or a snack.

Tucked away on a street in Port Dalhousie, lays a sleepy little bakeshop. The smell of baking bread reaches you first and then as you enter the shop you are embraced with sweet and savory smells. And greeted with friendly faces and a variety of tasty looking chimney cakes(not really cakes but bread baked in the shape of a cylinder chimney). The bread melts in your mouth. Sweet or savory they are all delicious, as are their sandwiches topped with fresh local ingredients.

The sweet chimney cakes come in a nice variety and make a great dessert. Their sandwiches made with the savory chimneys are the real star for me, though - all the ingredients are very fresh and the flavour of the savory chimney is mouth watering. There is no place to sit and eat, but buy one and bring it down to the beach - makes the perfect lunch!

I crave these sandwiches every time I drive near port now. So expensive but so worth it! Dips are phenomenal too!!
