Cozy spot for cocktails and delicious plates. The cocktails are of course amazing, but the food and the vibe complete the trifecta. The patio is lovely and is dog-friendly, too. Inside can tough to get a spot on busy nights, but it's worth trying! Last time we had oysters, a dip, and some yummy cocktails. Always a great playlist going as well!

One of the best cocktail bars in Dartmouth & Halifax. The cocktails were delicious and quite refreshing made with high quality liquor. Great selection of classic cocktails and signature ones. I had airplane mode and alter ego signature cocktails. We were lucky to be there on happy hour, when you can get 6 fresh delicious oysters with one cocktail. One of my favorite spots for cocktails in HRM.

Cozy and welcoming!We had a wonderful evening this weekend at Dear Friend. They are very accommodating and friendly to plus-size patrons. The drinks were dangerously yummy, and the food was the absolute best. The service was so genuine, that you'll want to go back again, and again, and again.

Great cocktail bar. Just came by for drinks, after we got our first round of drinks had to wait around 20 minutes until we were checked on, there were only 4 other people inside but I’m guessing their patio may have been swamped. The. When we decided to leave it took around 40 minutes to get the bill and pay. I would definitely go back but the speed of service was lacking.

I'm from Ontario, and had a last night and Nova Scotia before flying back. I was deciding whether I should stay one more night in Liverpool will come out to stay closer to the airport before I flew out. I decided to come back out and stayed in Dartmouth.I thought I would go out for a decent meal before I return to Ontario and read a lot of good things about dear friend bar.I would agree with all the five-star. Service was extremely efficient and friendly. I sat at the bar and all my needs were attended to promptly. Their cocktails are excellent I'm between 4 and 5 PM, with each drink you can get six oysters for a dollar and fifty cents each. This was a great deal which I took advantage of. The oysters I had today were from New Brunswick and hit the spot perfectly.I also tried the lamb, beef tartare, and the waffles. I highly recommend that you try these as and at the same time ask for the bartender's choice of cocktail. Whatever I had very well with what I was eating.Highly, highly recommended!!

This place is the cutest. Def make a reservation if you can. I couldn’t decide what I wanted so Mona (a king of a bartender) made me three mini versions of cocktails. Absolute legend. Love him. Great vibes. 10/10 recommend. #giveMonaaraise.

It is one of the best restaurants in Canada & Halifax for a reason! An experience from start to finish. The drinks, the tasting menu, the atmosphere, and the staff were all phenomenal! I can't believe it took me this long to finally try Dear Friend! Jeremy, our server was friendly and welcoming, which helped make our experience awesome! Can't wait to come back!

Coolest cocktail bar around with innovative drinks and always an exciting small bites menu. Hot spot summer patio & happy hour oysters are a fav! Thanks for the complimentary champagne for my friends and I the last 2 times I visited!! Outstanding experience every damn time. Bring your dear friends!!
