I'm not sure where Google gets this pond thing" as I visited the West and East beaches at Grand Beach and believe me

it's a pond on the shores of Lake Winnipeg. still pretty pristine

Swim at the lake, not the pond. The pond is quite gross this time of year.

Vacationed here for a few days before heading out somewhere else and although it was nice there park patrol is something else.we had the radio playing not loud at all and 5 after 11 they came and told us it was after 11. Not a big deal. But then 2 sites over theres a party and yelling and just super loud till 2am but park patrol walks by and says nothing about that.Next night a bunch of college kids nice ones but they have there music blasting its after 12am park patrol walks by stops talks to them and say maybe turn the music down a tad and leave. Maybe because we are older and not a party bunch it was easier for them to tell us to shut music off.Anyways still a nice place to go and get away
