Top Notch Art of Makeup

Sylvia did my wedding makeup on October 19th, 2019 in Salmon Arm - as well as my five bridesmaids. Much like many of the other reviews about Top Notch Art of Makeup, I simply don’t know where to start. Sylvia is amazing at what she does. She is professional and a perfectionist, so there’s no doubt that your makeup will be flawless. She’s also so kind and caring, and makes her clients feel comfortable and listened to. Sylvia is incredibly versatile, whether you’re looking for a barely-there look that accents your natural beauty, or a creative masterpiece, Sylvia can do it all. She will listen to your concerns and ideas, and delivers stunning results every time. Above her talent and caring nature, another thing that I was so appreciative of on my wedding day was Sylvia’s calm, confident demeanour. The morning of a wedding can be an anxious time, and having Sylvia as a grounded calm presence was very much appreciated. I had a bridal trial before my wedding so I already knew what to expect, but my bridesmaids met Sylvia for the first time that day. They instantly felt at-ease and comfortable with Sylvia. Rarely does a wedding day go exactly as planned, and ours wasn’t the exception. We ended up not being able to get ready in our planned location, and Sylvia had to pack up her whole kit and relocate with us. She did this with the same calm and grace as always, and was flexible while keeping us on time. I’m so grateful to her, she was a big part of making our wedding day a success. Sylvia’s makeup application photographs beautifully and stayed all day and through the evening reception and dancing. Her extensive experience working with photographers and on shoots has given her expertise in this area. I can’t recommend her enough!!

Sylvia is phenomenal. She is one of a kind human being. So incredibly talented, kind, accommodating and organized. She is everything you are looking for in terms of wedding artistry. She kept all my worries, and ideas in her pocket while doing my trial and then my wedding day make up. Weeks leading up to the wedding, I changed up my wedding makeup look and Sylvia made it happen! Even though I was a province away planning everything, when it came to my wedding day there were no hiccups! She was so accommodating with all the girls that got their makeup done on our wedding day and everyone just loved her!!! I cannot say enough good things. She is an absolute godsend for not only makeup but for nails!! This woman is incredibly talented and I would highly recommend her for your wedding day!!!

Where do I even start about Sylvia!? I wish I could rate her as 15/10! Sylvia was professional, responsive and really went the extra mile to make sure that everything was perfect. She is so talented and creative, but also provided amazing client service which is so reassuring for a stressed bride. After my trial, I was unsure about the lip colour that I chose, so she took extra time to mix a variety of colours and send me photos of the options by email (I live in Calgary) to make me feel comfortable with my choice. On the wedding day, she showed up early and was super friendly and energetic. Sylvia also did the make-up for my Mom and bridesmaids and they all looked so glam! My Mom especially got so many compliments from our wedding guests about how she looked 10 years younger! I would highly recommend Sylvia to all Kelowna brides.

I had the pleasure of having my makeup done by Sylvia and I can confidently say that it was an absolutely amazing experience!Sylvia's attention to detail and precision were outstanding, and her ability to enhance my natural features was truly impressive. Sylvia took the time to understand my preferences and worked with me to create a look that was perfect for my graduation photos. I felt like a true VIP throughout the entire process. What a talented artist Sylvia is! My maid of honor, and I looked fantastic on my wedding day and it lasted all night long through lots of happy tears and 30° weather. I highly recommend doing a trial before your big day so your exact vision can become a reality. Sylvia keeps detailed notes and we made a couple tweaks from my trial and everything was perfect on the day. She also covered up a tattoo for me to be less noticeable under my dress, perfect for photos.

The makeup artist Sylvia was really nice and did my makeup exactly how I wanted. The friendly conversation was great, the area was comfortable, and and I was super happy with the the final result. My makeup was finished at around ten in the morning and, other then a few lip touch ups with the kit provided, still looked good past midnight! It was a great experience, I absolutely recommend.

If you’re searching for the best makeup artist, then search no further!! Sylvia is seriously the BEST! She did my makeup, and my bridesmaids makeup and she absolutely killed it! I felt absolutely gorgeous, I couldn’t have been happier with how amazing we all looked!

Sylvia is incredible to work with. I did a trial with her and had feedback of what I wanted for my wedding day. She took extensive notes that she brought with her day of and my makeup was perfect! It was a hot 38 Okanagan heat day and my makeup didn’t smudge or move one bit! She made all my girls feel very comfortable and they all looked amazing. She’s a master at her work and felt 100% confident in her ability! I cannot recommend her enough!

Sylvia did my wedding makeup for myself and bridal party. She did an AMAZING job! My makeup looked beautiful and stayed on the whole day in 36 degree summer weather. I felt beautiful and confident the entire day! Not only was she a wonderful makeup artist, she was also such a kind and relaxed person to have the morning of your wedding!
