Amazing service!

Bought a house in town and went by the post office at the General Store to inquire how I can receive my mail. I was told that I need a box....but they don't have any. All they told me was I should call them weekly to see if a box has become available. Where does my mail go....RETURNED TO SENDER BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE A BOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Looked around the corner and there are more boxes then there are houses in town. It appears that some houses have more then one box because renting rooms is a big business in the town. Something is very wrong with this picture. Will be contacting Canada Post directly as I'm being denied mail service.
