Rural River Rentals

We had a fantastic time kayaking down the Sturgeon River with Rural River Rentals. The owner was so nice rescheduling when a thunder storm came up, then bringing down the kayaks and chatting with us about the river route. Also has a lovely cat to join you as you sign your forms and waivers :) Affordable, friendly, lovely experience for a summer afternoon — highly recommend!!!

What a fantastic afternoon! This is a gorgeous stretch of the Sturgeon River. My leisurely trip was fun, therapeutic, and breathtakingly beautiful. Zach took great care of me from start to finish. I shall most definitely be bringing the whole family back for another Rural Rivers adventure!

We went last summer and we can't wait to go again. Zack took us to an area we had never seen before and the scenery / route was exceptional. It was an amazing experience from beginning to end. I rented a two person kayak for the day, and Zack was great to deal with. He was flexible with pick up/drop off times, and helpful regarding questions and loading/unloading the kayak from my car. Would definitely recommend!

First time renting a watercraft and Zack made it a breeze. He was super friendly and helpful. Answered all my rookie questions, helped with loading/unloading the canoe on to my car and supplied everything I could possibly need to have a safe and enjoyable trip. Would definitely recommend to anyone and we will be going back sometime to explore the Sturgeon river.

We rented a canoe for a long weekend trip to Waterton National Park and paddled in to a backcountry campsite. The canoe was perfect for my girlfriend and I; plus our backpacks and gear.Zack runs a wonderful outfit. He will help you load the canoe and secure it your roof rack (or will help you rig something up if you don't have a roof rack). The canoe was also super clean, which was especially nice as we had to go through a boat inspection at the park entrance. We payed a fraction of the cost you would pay for a rental in the park, and had it for multiple days!Rural Rivers is seriously the best value rental you can get for a trip to the mountains/outside of the city. Can't wait for a guided tour on the mighty Sturgeon in Spring 2022!

Zack was so awesome and accommodating!! I was able to pre-pay, finding his place was easy and even on our way to our destination, he was open until 8 which helped us have time to pick up after work, he’s super friendly, helped us load up, supplied everything we needed even ratchet straps and life jackets. We got a late checkout from our cabin and Zack was totally fine with us dropping the canoe off mid afternoon. Couldn’t have had a better experience honestly, and the best part - his pricing completely blows every other competitor out of the water! We will go out of our way to support Zack next time!
